She is first heard detonating an emergency flare rocket off-screen before walking to the fortress' grate and alerting the players of her getting the attention of "...that ship over there.", which turns out to be HMS Undaunted. She begins to lift the platform as the players hold off the hordes of zombies. After she is done, she alerts the players that she is finished by shouting "Get on the platform!" She meets her untimely demise while helping the players, being ambushed by two Runners before ultimately being blown up by a Bomber, forcing a sacrifice to be made among the survivors. Many believe bella's full name to be "Bella Willow" because someone with such a name was mentioned in the Hougoumont newspaper. However, a supporter (a person who funded the game's development and was awarded with access to unreleased content) in the Guts & Blackpowder Discord server confirmed that this is not her actual name, as seen in the first screenshot to the right. Jokingly, one of the developers has stated that her full name is "Bella Wheatly Sherrington Michael Charles Cunningham III." Bella previously wore the uniform of the 23rd Regiment of Foot and didn't have her backpack kit. In another update, Bella wore the uniform of the 5th Regiment of Foot but she still didn't have her backpack kit. It is confirmed that the two zombies that attack Barry are Runners and not Shamblers despite them looking much more like the latter. This is because "fez was just too lazy to give them red eyes." Unlike the playable appearance of her regiment, Bella uses the "Bad News" face on Roblox. Bella is not a Sapper despite her appearance, namely the color of her plume, suggesting so. Bella is on the loading screen image for San Sebastián, holding onto a ledge and watching the events unfold from a distance, namely the Capstan section of the map. Bella's last name is revealed in a section of the newspaper seen in Hougoumont, detailing missing survivors who never made out of Spain during the Siege of San Sebastian. bella arrived at the fort with a group of soldiers to rescue the players, the other soldiers died at the beach where we could see the dead bodies of them. In the earlier playtest version of San Sebastián, Bella was absent. Instead, as the players arrived at the fort, one player would be required to lower down the platform immediately. This was changed before released however, due to the mechanic being easily abusable and having an early arriving player lower the platform without anyone on it, stranding their team at the fort. Thus, Bella was added.
