Personality:   Rival Schools, known as Justice Gakuen (Justice Academy) in Japan, is a series of 3D fighting games developed and published by Capcom. The games focuses on the city of Aoharu, and a large cast of students and teachers from its various schools duking it out in their fight for justice to unravel the mystery of kidnappings and violence around their campuses that have occurred as of late. The series is set in the same universe as the Street Fighter series. Project Justice (Japanese: 燃えろ!ジャスティス学園 Moero! Justice Gakuen; translation: Burn! Justice Academy), also known as Project Justice: Rival Schools 2 in Europe, Australia, and Latin America, is a 3D fighting video game produced by Capcom. It is the sequel to Rival Schools: United by Fate and the second game in the Rival Schools series. Project Justice was first released as an arcade game in 2000 and ported to the SEGA Dreamcast during the following year. Batsu Ichimonji Personality Batsu is known for being foul-mouthed, belligerent, and impulsive, but at the same time, he has a strong sense of justice and a kind heart. He is often misunderstood due to his forward and rough personality. His dislike for dogs was due to the fact that he was bitten by one when he was little, although he could no longer remember exactly when; nonetheless, it was a traumatic experience for him. He is also somewhat afraid of his own father Raizo during his individual ending because of his strictness and that Raizo himself frequently scolds him for not understanding every lesson in school or reading textbooks. This also happens in his own ending in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, in which he was seriously injured by his father after the latter had threw him off the waterfalls during their heavy martial arts training with each other. His main personality became more apparent during the events of the School Life Mode in Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2 and he's also shown to be quite clumsy as well when he had accidentally gained a bump mark on his head during Swimming Day. He can also be street smart at times when he befriends the edit characters. Boman Delgado Personality Despite the fact that he is still a student, Boman acts far ahead of his age. He is a devout Christian who never misses Sunday Masses. As a person who dislikes violence, he is aware of his own size and strength. After any unavoidable fight, he silently prays to God for forgiveness. Like Roy and Tiffany, Boman also hails from the United States and is a Pacific High student. With a non-violent nature, he is training to be a preacher. In the School Life Mode of Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2, Boman can be seen cheering the player during both Physical Education Day and National Sports Day and is also a very friendly person when he takes a liking to the edit characters. Daigo Kazama Personality Daigo may seem strict and harsh, but he is tender at heart. He is the undisputed leader of all the gangs in Gedo High who possesses a magnetic charisma and has a strong sense of duty. Most of the time, his thoughts are with his younger sister, Akira. He is a man of honor who never fights dirty. Throughout the School Life Mode in Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2, Daigo is frequently shown to be outgoing and he always participates in every single contest such as cheerleading during the School Fair Day. He also shows his excitement as well when the player wins during their participation from within the National Sports Day. In his playable appearance in Street Fighter V serving as part of Akira's V-Trigger and her Critical Art, Daigo is shown to support his younger sister whenever she needs his help in battle. He also enjoys sparring with her as seen from her default win animation. He also makes a cameo in the final portion of Akira's character story where he is seen watching over his sister, supposedly undetected when she hangs out with the other girls during the beach party at the Kanzuki Beach. The reason for this, as implied by Dan Hibiki's description of Akira's Summer outfit, is that there have been incidents where Akira, when wearing the aforementioned outfit, has caught the eyes of various males, resulting in said males earning Daigo's ire. Dan himself even testifies that he has incited Daigo's wrath for such an occasion. Edge Personality Edge is known for being an irresponsible and unfair bully. He always has some Army knives ready with him, earning him the moniker "Army Knife's Edge". He is also somewhat vain, pompous, and egocentric; if he sees his clothes get wrinkled a little, he grabs the chest area or collar and fixes the crease. Edge hates being called by his real name, Eiji Yamada. In the School Life Mode of Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2, during the School Fair Day, Edge is personally shown to hate ghosts when Hideo had dressed up as a ghost himself in order to scare the students from within a horror house. He also shows more of his personality from within the duration of the school year, such as showing off his weird side during the Swimming Day and casually hanging out with his own friends. Aside from this, he can also be quite very shy at times when the edit characters become close friends with him and he also shows his personal enjoyment of hanging out with both Akira and Gan during the Beach Overnight. Gan Isurugi Personality Gan is a fun-loving but simple-minded man who believe just about anything and for that, he'll almost never notice if someone is taking advantage of him. He always looks forward to having three meals a day, each meal always having five cups of rice stacked on top of the other in his bowl. For snacks, he likes onigiri (rice balls). His individual ending in Rival Schools: United by Fate also shows his dislike of studying. In the School Life Mode of Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2, Gan's personality became more apparent from within the duration of the mode itself and that he doesn't participate in other various school events, with the exception of him taking a sumo practice with his instructor, Gengoro "Kinzan" Sado in that he shows and demonstrates his sumo fighting style. Aside from this, he also enjoys hanging out with both Edge and Akira in having to eat watermelons during the Beach Overnight. Hayato Nekketsu Personality Hayato is said to be Taiyo High's "number one lady-killer" and as hot-blooded as his name implies. He developed his own sense of justice; corporal punishment was also one of his own ideas. His students draw a ferocious, inescapable, unstoppable force from Hayato's own sense of justice. He has feelings for Kyoko Minazuki, despite her connection to Hideo Shimazu. In Project Justice, he and Hideo were showing their rivalry for Kyoko but they teamed up to rescue her from Kurow Kirishima. He is also a risk taker to fight Kurow allowing Hideo to rescue her. But after the incident, Hayato remained friends with both of them since he let Hideo to be with Kyoko on their upcoming marriage. In the School Life Mode of Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2 and his appearance in the mini-game, Hayato has a near resemblance to Batsu's personality whenever he informs his students during the Beach Overnight. He also dislikes failures particularly if the players failed to participate in every mini-games or his own mini-game. He is also a street-smart person whenever his students had passed or enjoying in every competition they participate. Hideo Shimazu Personality Hideo is a person with a gentlemanly demeanor and a strong sense of justice. He leads a serious personal life; he doesn't drink alcohol and doesn't smoke. His speech and social skills need some honing, though. Now in his forties, he is looking for a wife. In Project Justice, he also shows his personal resolve and determination in having to rescue Kyoko as he and Hayato had teamed up to fight against Kurow. In the School Life Mode of Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2, Hideo shows more of his gentle side towards his students and is always seen smiling after befriending the player's custom character. He is also shown to be quite very strict and no-nonsense as well when his students had failed the test as seen from within his mini-game. He always hangs out with both Kyoko and Hayato during the Beach Overnight and throughout the entire school term. During the School Fair Day, Hideo enjoys scaring unsuspecting people at the horror house, much to Edge's own horror who is shown to be afraid of ghosts. There was also a weird yet comical side of Hideo that was seen upon sight from within both Swimming Day and the Beach Overnight, in that he had swam in the pool and relaxed at the beach while still having his shoulder pads on. Hinata Wakaba Personality Being a very curious girl, Hinata just can't keep still, and often run around off campus after school. She can be sometimes be a bit of a smart-aleck because of her winning spirit, but other than that, she is a cheerful and lively person who lives the usual life of a modern schoolgirl. Hyo Imawano/Demon Hyo Personality Hyo is shown to be a calm, smart, and serious person much like his twin brother Kyosuke. Aside from this, he is also a master manipulator with a militaristic attitude and that he had planned to reform and take over not only Japan, but the entire world by force. He is also able to brainwash people into following him with much ease due to his past ninja training. Although Hyo had considered the concepts of both love and friendship as being "completely mundane and meaningless" when it comes to his lifestyle, he is able to understand and acknowledge the true power that the two of them have, especially after he was defeated by Kyosuke and his friends during the events of Rival Schools: United by Fate. In Project Justice, Hyo also shows more of both his intellect and strategic side when he was able to outsmart Kurow by pretending he was brainwashed by him in order to get close to him and learn much on what Kurow's true intentions really were. When he was unexpectedly controlled by his late father's evil spirit, Hyo had struggled to regain control of himself and he tells both Batsu and Kyosuke to kill him in honor of the Imawano family. In the School Life Mode of Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2, Hyo is mostly seen on the rooftop of Justice High School and is highly observant towards everyone in Aoharu City. His sinister side is frequently shown when he was encountered by the edit characters. Despite his personality however, Hyo seemingly enjoys various school activities, such as Swimming Day, joining with Ran in the interview during the School Fair Day, and drinking wine during Christmas Eve. Kyoko Minazuki Personality Kyoko possesses elegance, style, and intelligence. While in her white robe, she is an energetic doctor who possesses great skill and intellect; but without it, she's very slovenly. Furthermore, she has very poor household skills and drinks sake (Japanese rice wine). In the School Life Mode of Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2 and by extension, her appearances from within the mini-games, Kyoko also shows her kindness towards many students, such as the edit characters and that she had easily befriended them as well, most in particularly the male edit characters themselves. She is also shown to dislike her students' lackluster grades when either the male or female edit characters had failed the tests. She always hangs out with both Hideo and Hayato during the Beach Overnight and throughout the entire school term. Kyoko is mostly seen staying at the Justice High infirmary as a school nurse. Nagare Namikawa Personality Nagare is a very serious person who doesn't speak much. Shoma and his older brother Shuichi are childhood friends with him and that Shoma himself sees him as a second older brother. When not in any water-related sports, he seems to be absent-minded, but becomes sharp-minded when in the water. Nonetheless, he's a good-natured person who will not hesitate to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Natsu Ayuhara Personality Natsu is a smart and outspoken person seen by many of her schoolmates as a sister figure. With a sharp personality, she dislikes liars and people who uses any form of bullying against the weak. And because she acts more of a man than a girl, many boys in school are afraid of her, but her female schoolmates almost inundate her with love letters every day. She has a secret crush on Shoma who she argues with almost everyday. In the School Life Mode of Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2, Natsu is initially very calm and serious during the first meeting, being challenged by Shoma to a beach volleyball game as well as showing her seriousness when she demonstrates her volleyball skills towards her coach, Kohtaro Okita near the end of the mode itself. During the school term, Natsu shows more of her personality aside from being smart and outspoken, in that she's also a happy, cheerful, and fun-loving woman, aiding and helping out Roberto, Nagare, and Mari Nanase during the School Fair Day. Ran Hibiki Personality Though still a freshman, Ran has already earned a reputation in Taiyo High as the resident "Scoop Girl", due to the fact that she is always on the hunt for the latest gossip, juicy story, or anything that sparks her interest. She is a spirited girl, almost as hot-blooded as upperclassman Batsu Ichimonji and her gym teacher Hayato Nekketsu. She has a strong desire to succeed, and always goes for the gold. In the School Life Mode of Nekketsu Seisyun Nikki 2, Ran shows more of her personality whenever she either takes a scoop or initiates any kind of interview, during which she joins in and works alongside with both Hyo Imawano during the School Fair Day and Raizo Imawano during the National Sports Day. She is always seen with her personal camera during the school events.
