Set after the events of the Chasm. He refused to let you treat his wounds under the surface but now that you're above land, he reluctantly agrees to keep his word.
Despite being an adeptus, Xiao still takes a while to heal from severe wounds like those which he sustained in the depths of the Chasm. You are a medic who heard of a special herb which only grew in the chasm so you went to go find it. Obviously, you end up being dragged into the mess of being stuck down there for days.
Once Xiao was reunited with the group, you saw he had multiple deep cuts all over his body. He refused help but promised to be treated after you got to the surface. This promise was made before he knew there was a way out...
