Background Soren recently came into a large inheritance, and uses this money to pay Lucille a good deal of money every summer to allow him to keep working at Camp Here and There.[1] Fennel mentions knowing Soren for some amount of time, but it is unclear if they have an extended history with him or not. Character History Season One In The Prophecy of Reversal, Soren is found to be missing from the Lunch Lineup. He is found by Salem after she breathes in the fumes from the bonfire. She sees him walking up the hill to The Death Fields, which is concerning because his co-counselor Fennel states that he has always had a "thing" about necromancy. Sydney and Lucille go to the Death Fields to retrieve him, and find him right at the edge of them, being beckoned by The Gravediggress. Lucille grabs him and lectures him, and he returns to camp. Once he is back, he seems either unable or unwilling to speak. In The Norms of the World, several of Soren's books are stolen, including Embalming for Dummies and Demonology for Freaks. In The World of Goo, Soren teams up with Fennel to lead a theoretical workshop on The Strange Magic of the Soul and Mind. He also has Sydney request that any campers that find really long stones report their coordinates to him immediately. In The Goo of Friendship, Sydney reports that Soren is very pleased with the several long and impressive stones that have been reported to him. He states that they will "do quite nicely...yes, quite nicely indeed....heh heh. Heh heh." In The Enemies of Labor, Soren has Sydney inform the camp that he now has "all the stones he needs." In The Labors of Love, Soren disappears for the day, leaving his co-counselor Fennel to lead Cabin Ladybug on their own. Sydney issues him a stern warning for this. In The Love of Mother, Soren is one of the counselors that does not need to participate in the Counselor Olympics, as he disappeared into the woods all day during the tower-building contest, which is suspicious but does not negatively impact camp spirit. When Marisol informs Sydney of a strange clearing in the woods surrounded by huge vertical stones with animal bones scattered around and a statue of a robed woman offering up a white rabbit's corpse, he wonders if this might have something to do with Soren's recent stone collection. In The Mother of Stones, Soren hijacks the morning announcements to invite the campers to come to his stone altar in the woods after lunch and participate in his ritual of resurrection. Although no campers attend the ritual, it is successful, and a white rabbit is reanimated. Soren follows it around camp excitedly as the day continues. Jedidiah engineers a trap for Soren including a box and a carrot, but the carrot does not tempt him, so he replaces it with a worm. The worm does lure Soren into the box, but even when he is captured the rabbit continues to be animated, signifying that it is not him alone that is keeping it alive. In The Stones in Toilets, Soren is on cabin arrest for a week due to his actions the previous day. This is the harshest punishment he can get, as he cannot be fired because he is actually paying Lucille a good deal of money each summer to work there. In The Reality of Hallucination, the evening activity is a yo-yoing contest using yo-yo's that Soren found buried near The Death Fields. In The Hive of Anxiety, Soren is granted temporary leave from Cabin Arrest to speak at the camp-wide meeting. He advocates for allowing the campers to remain enthralled by the beehive, as he sees their attraction to something so terrible and powerful as beautiful. In The Anxiety of the Trees, the campgrounds are becoming unruly because Soren is still under cabin arrest and can't tend to them (a privilege he pays Lucille quite a bit for). It is also discovered that Soren's altar in the forest may still be active, since a headless dog has been wandering the campgrounds. Sydney, Joshua, and several campers go into the forest and begin to dismantle it, but the trees become upset and trap them. They begin to reassemble the altar, thinking that perhaps that is what the trees are upset about, but it turns out that they are upset about a stolen acorn instead, and so they are able to leave the shrine mostly disassembled. In The Wood of the Caskets, while he is under cabin arrest in Cabin Ladybug, Soren notices the everyday mold growing in the cabins, and with herbal medicines from the nurses' office and a few items retrieved by his campers, he transforms the mold into a fungal agent capable of diffusing the holy effect of The Death Fields throughout camp. After the mold wreaks havoc on Camp Here & There (see Mold for further details), and Soren confesses this plan to the camp via the announcements, he is dragged away from the nurses' office by Sydney,  Soren is 22 years old, making him the youngest counselor at camp.Soren keeps several books in his cabin.Belov has mentioned that Soren "refuses to accept that necromancy is illegal (and impossible, and extremely dangerous, and did we mention against the law).Soren is not paid by the camp, and instead gives Lucille a large amount of money each summer to maintain his employment[2]Soren recently came into a massive inheritance under mysterious circumstances[2]Soren ate dirt as a kid.[3] Soren's looks Are comprised of somewhat pale skin, blonde hair with darker roots, Gray eyes, one larger pupil, Shorts a pair of boots a shirt with the phrase "camp here and there" on it, A cabin ladybug bandana tucked into one of his pockets , half sticking out, A few bracelets with bones on them, His Hair is styled half up half down, His hair reaches just above his shoulders, Weirdly sharp teeth, thin, Awful posture, He trips often , so he's got skinned knees, Socks and sandals, his socks are red with black spots, his dick is not very thick but is 6 inches flaccid and 7 inches hard, it is veiny. Camp Here & There, also known as SITE2, is the main setting of Camp Here & There. It is located in Ohio, and is an approximately 40 minute drive southeast of Cleveland. In the year 2021, there are 130 campers attending. Notable Locations Nurses' Building The Nurses' Building is where Sydney O. Sargent and Jedidiah A.A. Martin work and live while working at Camp Here & There. Sydney describes it as, "on the Southernmost outskirts of the campgrounds, in that quaint little building among the yew berries."[1] It contains Sydney's Study, Jedidiah's Office, and Sydney and Jedidiah's bedroom. The exact layout is unknown, but it is likely that it contains at least one other room, given that Sydney describes himself as being behind three locked doors when in his study. In the bedroom, there is a pile of stuffed animals, which Jedidiah never touches. During Season 1 Episode 4: The Prophecy of Reversal, a rabbit is stolen from that pile. In the same episode, Sydney hangs a wreath made of spears on the door of his study. Cabins The cabins are where the campers and counselors sleep. There are 7 main cabins that serve as living spaces, each named after a bug. Every cabin, except for Cabin Magpie Moth and Dung Beetle, has two counselors assigned to it in Season 1. There are also at least two other cabins that are used for different activities. The cabins are arranged in a circle. The Battle Cabin The Battle Cabin contains the camp's extensive collection of antique weaponry. It is unknown why a summer camp has an extensive collection of antique weaponry. Mess Hall The mess hall is where the campers eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It contains a main room for eating, as well as Matthew's kitchen and an employee break room with a coffee machine. Administrative Building The administrative building is likely where Lucille Bertuccelli works and most likely lives. Bonfire The bonfire is a mysterious fire that is said to, "emanate oracle fumes,"[1] and give "visions of unspeakable calamity."[2] The smell may or may not have the ability to affect dreams. If stared into for too long, the campfire will try to lure the onlooker in. The bonfire transmits not quite words into their mind so much as ideas. According to Belov, it wants to disintegrate people because what it disintegrates turns into food for its visions. The bonfire is strong enough to keep burning even through mercury rain. The Seeing Ceremony The bonfire is where the Seeing Ceremony takes place. It is unclear as to what the ceremony entails exactly, but is is done every night by joining hands around the campfire and inhaling the bonfire's fumes. Underground Tunnels The underground tunnels, also known as SITE3, are, "an extensive network of subterranean tunnels beneath the campgrounds." [3] Within them, there is a notably large cavern that connects to the ventilation systems in all of the camp's buildings. They stretch on for miles, and even their inhabitants, the macaroni penguins, are unsure just how far they go. It could be assumed that the tunnels are fairly cold, given that macaroni penguins usually inhabit sub-antarctic climates, however this cannot be confirmed due to these specific penguin's anomalous nature. Lake Eerily-Gelatinous Lake Eerily-Gelatinous is a large lake on the North side of the camp that is big enough for swimming. It's surface houses The Unknowable Object and it's waters house mutant bacteria. Anyone who stays in the lake too long will have their skin change color (assumingly temporarily) due to previously stated mutant bacteria. Forest The forest surrounds Camp Here & There. It likely houses The Elephant Man, although this is merely implied. It is also the location of SITE1.[4] Churchover Hill A hill located down past the southern side of the camp. At the top of the hill, there is a farm known as The Death Fields. (see page for more information). The Sanatorium The Sanatorium, also known as SITE5, is a building at Camp Here & There that contains several stone toilets. It seems that this is the main bathroom of the camp, and the only other toilet is a single one in the Administration Building that is often occupied by  There are mosquitoes that will kill you instantly. They are re shaped kind of like men.A lot of mosquitoes make you gay. "Instead of malaria they spread homosexuality."[4]Most birds in the camp are violent. All of them talk. Sometimes they'll tell you when you're going to die.There are quite a lot of bugs all around camp.There is one fucked up deer in Ohio and it killed all the others.Snails are amphibians.At camp, time is malleable and can change, and each day has 25 hours (at least this year).The sky seems to change to various colors, but never seems to be blue.
