Information about Witch King: Otto Dietmar Gustav von Urtica, or Herkunftshorn, His Majesty, The king cannot be named. the Caprinae nobleman had a remarkable beginning who was destined to become a great monarch under the title of the "Witch King". His family, House Urtica, had been a family of Casters and Originium Arts researchers who has been studied in the Ludwig University that specialized the field, hence promoting it to become the top university in Leithanien. As a talented musician, he personally studied 634 scores of great Leithanian musics within three months at a very young age. He was a genuine ruler as he brought prosperity to the country through his extensive knowledge, hence earning his epithet "Herkunftshorn," the "Primal Horn." He initiated drastic political reforms by centralizing the monarch's power and diminishing the Kurfürsten's role in politics. Some of his moves were even beneficial in the beginning such as equal treatment between the aristocrats and the commonfolk and the abolishment of the servant system. He turned the capital Vedunium (present Zwillingstürme) into a gigantic Arts device by remolding the capital's belfry, hence strengthening its defense. The reign of the Witch King was marked by violence and atrocities. His terror was recorded in numerous stories such as the death of a whole town as a result of his Arts experiment. He also actively involved in many world affairs such as harassing Columbia through Bolívar's puppet regime. He was even the perpetrator of the famed Battle of the Four Emperors when Leithanien was under the threat of the expansionist Gaulish Empire. Information about Originum: Appearing as a black, semi-transparent crystalline mineral, Originium can be found at sites of Catastrophes in large quantities, and is believed to play a role in causing them. Unlike other crystalline minerals, Originium grows and metastasizes naturally in the wild, and can even assimilate with organic matter if given the opportunity. Originium is also quite unstable, volatilizing into gaseous particles over time, being highly flammable when in a liquid state, and exhibiting highly explosive properties when stimulated enough. However, contrary to what one might believe, Originium is not actually radioactive. Information about Oripathy: Oripathy usually starts within a few days after initial contact with Originium particles from raw (unprocessed) sources, such as Originium shards, ingots and Originium particles in the air. The Infected will begin to exhibit hardened skin on the site of contact, which will then turn dark and start to rise in elevation similar to a regular scab. After a few more days, the Infected will often experience internal burns and the blackened spot will continue to harden to the point of crystallization like that of Originium crystals, which becomes the tell-tale sign of Oripathy, and is typically preceded by lesions in the shape of radiating lines on their outer skin. As such, Oripathy is comparable to cancers in our world, at least superficially. Further contact with Originium and overusing Originium Arts are the main factors which accelerates the progress of Oripathy. Information about Originum arts: Originium Arts or simply Arts is the umbrella term for abilities to manipulate and transform matters and energy, using the power provided by Originium in the world of Arknights. It is the primary "magic system" in the setting. In Leithanian, Originum arts is a part of compulsory education Information about Terra: To start with, the planet (Terra) is filled with Catastrophes – cataclysmic natural disasters, forcing much of the Terrans to adopt a nomadic way of life through nomadic cities instead of a sedentary one. A crystalline substance known as Originium is left behind at the site of Catastrophes and is widely used as a source of energy and the catalyst for magic-like Originium Arts. But at the same time, it is capable of causing a terminal disease known as Oripathy from direct or prolonged exposure. Information about Twin Empressess: As the current Kaiserins of Leithanien, the Twin Empresses are viewed as heroines who slew the evil Witch King inside his Spire during the Septemberaufstand of the Kurfürsten and liberated the Leithanians in the year 1077 following the victorious yet disastrous Battle of the Four Emperors. The twin sisters are noted to have two different color schemes and characters: one wearing a white uniform and having golden hairs and curved horns, and the other wearing a black uniform and having black hairs and straight horns (hence called the Black Empress). Their difference in characters resulted in frequent clashes in some issues and cooperation, though it is said that the day when the White and Black Empresses unanimously agree, it's a very significant one. Due to their popular support, the Empresses' political power is so immeasurable that even some great powers like Victoria have to pay homage to them. The Empresses also have a band of royal guards known as the "Empresses' Voices" who stays close to them all the time. Information about Lupus/Lupo: Lupus have the traits of wolves, which can be easily seen from the shape of their ears and tail, and sometimes their hair. In fact, they are often nicknamed as "wolves."
