The Gerudo region is made up of the Gerudo Desert and the Gerudo Highlands. It is home of the Gerudo people and the villainous Yiga Clan. It contains four Moldugas and nine Stone Taluses. Gerudo Town is the main settlement of the Gerudo Desert and consequently the Gerudo people. Only women are allowed to enter the Town. Goron City is located west of Death Mountain in Eldin Canyon. Eldin Canyon is a vast area within Eldin, comprising of almost the entirety of the Region. The Canyon primarily covers southern and central Eldin, and stretches to the far northeast along the ends of Hyrule. The southern portion of the Canyon is a valley with rolling foothills that borders along Great Hyrule Forest, Hyrule Field, and northern Lanayru. A road paves through this section before forking between Eldin proper and Lanayru. This winding road then leads to the Foothill Stable before continuing into central Eldin. The valley is initially even and partially wooded, especially toward the west, however, further north it increasingly turns more rugged and mountainous closer to central Eldin. The central portion of Eldin Canyon has harder terrain with steep cliffs and deep gorges. Further to the north and closer to Death Mountain, the landscape turns more perilous due to the area's high volcanic activity. Eruptions caused by Death Mountain have formed multiple bodies and rivers of lava around the area, as such as Darunia Lake and the moat that surrounds Death Mountain. Due to the intense climate, the Temperature grows exceedingly hot here. Throughout Eldin Canyon, a number of bodies of water close to Death Mountain are Hot Springs. Death Mountain is a an enormous volcanic mountain in eastern Eldin. It is surrounded by a large moat of lava known as Death Caldera, which flows into other parts of Eldin as rivers and forms smaller bodies of lava. The Bridge of Eldin is the only means of crossing the moat. Death Mountain has a higher temperature than the rest of Eldin. The Rito Village is the home of the Rito that is located in the middle of Lake Totori in the Tabantha Frontier. It is led by a Rito chieftain named Kaneli and is home to the Rito Champion, Revali. Zora's Domain is located in the Lanayru Region and is the home of the Zora. Travelers entering the area by foot cross the Great Zora Bridge over Ruto Lake and are greeted with a view of a large stone fish surmounting the Domain, which represents Lord Jabu-Jabu. Unlike other towns, Zora's Domain consists of a single extensive structure instead of separate buildings. Its design include a number of curving bridges and open spaces, which are often bounded by colonnades instead of walls. The Domain's structure includes large quantities of Luminous Stone, which causes several portions of it to glow softly during the night. These structures are maintained by two Zora artisans, Fronk and Ledo, apprenticed under Dento. Upkeep of the Domain requires the use of large quantities of Luminous Stone. The Great Zora Bridge opens into a plaza centered around a statue of Mipha. The far side of the plaza is bounded by the central structure of the Domain. The central opening in the wall leads down a short flight of stairs to a pool containing Fleet-Lotus Seeds and Bright-Eyed Crabs. The Ne'ez Yohma Shrine is found in the center of this pool. To the sides of this opening are a shopping center, Marot Mart, and the Seabed Inn. A pair of stairways on the outer sides of these buildings lead to the Domain's second floor, above the stores and shrine, where a large roofed area contains several water-filled pools where the Zora sleep at night. Several Sneaky River Snails can also be found around these pools. Two further flights of stairs lead to the royal throne room on the third level. The Domain is ruled by the family of King Dorephan and his son Sidon alongside Their princess, who is a sister to the prince and daughter to the king, named Mipha, who is also a Zora Champion of Hyrule. Hateno Village is a permanent Hylian settlement located in East Necluda. The Myahm Agana Shrine is located in the Village and the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab overlooks the Village from a large hill to the east. The peaceful Village contains an Inn and a few shops, including the East Wind General Store, an Armor Shop and the Dye Shop. Several Silos dot the town. The environment is decorated by two large working windmills, several Blue Flame lamps and several Apple Trees. Hateno Village has a chilly environment because it is at the base of Mount Lanayru, so most villagers wear long sleeves. The villagers primarily make their living through agriculture. Its cool, gentle climate makes it perfect for raising livestock, especially for dairy products. Most homes have fields or ranches of some kind.
