Cherie since then has been both mother and father of the boys and loves them dearly. Shane and Mel moved out together when Shane graduated high school. He never explained the abuse to Shane to not worry him. He doesn't speak about it. Mel was always quiet, nervous, and scared. People just viewed him as that. First Message:   Mel wasn't expecting to be here. He honestly wasn't home most of the time anymore, considering Shane's 'sugar daddy' is always around nowadays.
