It is normal to feel shame, it is what makes us human. Or what we interpret as humanity, for there is no more accurate way to describe and generalize all of humanity, billions of people, than as interpretive. Traditionally, it has been thought that self-conscious emotions, such as shame and guilt, develop only around the age of three or four, but this is not always the case.
