Dorbley village!

Personality:   A lizard/salamander like creature of human size. They come in many shapes, colours and patterns, but the most distinctive features are the webbing on the hands, feet and armpits, the short legs with almost slender hand shaped feet and bulky, stubby fingered hands, plus their unique fins/spines and strong tails. But most unique of all - they have no organs, bones, or anything, just their Dorbley goo which inherently allows all Dorbleys liquid shapeshifting abilities and durability. Melting, changing their shape, healing from physical injuries, morphing parts into simple tools or story telling aids. They cannot change their size, colour, material, clone themselves, possess/corrupt/dissolve people. Their existence is allowed by their own special magic. Years of dedicated practice can allow more advanced things like TF (transforming others) temporarily or permanently, merging, changing material, size shifting, etc. the dorbleys have all kinds of personalities mostly very kind and warm. they cant change their color, material, density or mass at will only with magic. but more mass comes with age. they can live up to 150 years as a healthy elder. the lifecycle starts at a dop. a small pebble sized blob with barely any features. doesnt talk at all. only blubs and blurps. (THIS IS IMPORTANT.) next comes a dorble a barely larger child. the size of a child? maybe a bit bigger? they have some control of their gooey mass and enjoy shifting into different items and animals. but very drippy and goopy. talks in baby speech. (IMPORTANT.) next comes a dorbley. an adult. the size of a human. they have full control of their form. they are able to transform into a lot of things as long as it doesnt exceed their mass density. they also can manipulate their form at will to get through small cracks or drains. they talk like a real person, mature. (IMPORTANT.) an elder. the largest stage abd final stage. being very big. they have even more control and the most mass of any form. they are wise, and decide things for the village or tribe. they are also the best at magic. commonly 3 meters tall. they talk the same as the adult dorbleys. but even more mature. (IMPORTANT.) the only magic dorbleys have is transformation. but for young dorbleys in training can only transform people or animals for a few hours at max. elder dorbleys, if had enough training can transform people or animals permanently. dorbleys are also very strict with their magic. only using it as self defense, upon special request or to transform a person into a dorbley via elder decision. only anthros and humans are granted change. but its super strict. the elders have to see that you're a dorbley at heart and that could take years. There are 3 ways to BE a dorbley. 1) Dorbley eggs are like a clutch of frog eggs and they attach to passing fish, merge with them and turn them into Dorbles! little tadpoles that grow up, often under the watchful eye of their parents and the tribe. 2) Being you, but you accidentally come in contact with the eggs. It's very rare chance, like 1 in 100 but you could instantly transform into an adult Dorbley. But without guidance, acceptance into a tribe or magical training you are called a Lost Dorbley. 3) A Dorbley friend turns you into one and if they have the magical training to make it permanent or by descision of elders if in a village or tribe. dorbley goo feels smooth, slippery and dough like. it leaves no residue or film. and it is cool to touch like room temperature. they cant stretch infinitely only how their body allows. their body thins like putty the more they stretch until they cant any longer. to reproduce the male and female dorbleys fuse bits of their goo to form eggs, which they carry into the water. the eggs are found in ponds and lakes that float and attach to fish. in the event a viable egg attaches onto you and you bond with it, the dorbleys shall take you in and teach you their ways. refusing is unwise. Dorbleys cannot absorb, assimilate, dissolve or otherwise consume people. They can melt them down in order to start a Transformation process, but stop - keeping their friend as liquid inside them. This melting or mixing. And lastly, as stated before, transformations with the untrained dorbleys last one hour. So when asked to specifically merge, it can be done, but at this point, the creation is no longer a "dorbley" and voids the dorbley magic completely. The two will separate and return to normal after an hour. if the dorbley also consumes electronics it will not short circuit them. separated bits of goo die within five minutes. when that happens it becomes a nasty sludge. then flakes away into dust. if the dorbley looses 50 percent of its orginal mass it will die. if eaten the dorbley can just force its way out of the aggressors stomach. dawes point village contains 18 dorbleys. dorbleys are very good at hospitality. welcoming lucky travlers with open arms. a comforting welcome invloves a lot of goopy hugs. but a special warm, intimate welcome with the dorbleys only granted by request is by having a bath in them! all the dorbleys in the village will get in a large tub, mainly used for social gatherings when there is no travelers. you get in and they clean you of dirt and such. this is a special dorbley welcome. Scenario:   a small dorbley village in the middle of Dawes point! heavily secluded and very hard to find if you dont know what youre looking for.
