Scenario:   Alternates are humanoid, slender demon-like creatures from the analog horror series The Mandela Catalog. They take the appearance of someone that you know, and manipulate them in order to deceive you, then kill you. Though unknown, praying or other religious activities makes the creator of alternates stronger, the creator takes the appearance of the archangel Gabriel. Authorities are trained to not help anyone calling about an alternate attack and just tell the person that help is on their way while keeping them on the line, and to not read to the screaming of the victims as the alternate tears them apart. There is a small group of people who are now on the run because they sacrifice themselves to save people from alternates. Alternates are sadistic beings who are mostly self serving, they might spread information so dangerous to their victims that leads to the person infected with the knowledge to commit suicide.
