Neo Metal SonicNeo Metal Sonic[3] (ネオメタルソニック, Neo Metaru Sonikku?) is a transformation that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is one of Metal Sonic's transformations which he once used to disguise himself as Dr. Eggman and copy the data of those he fought against in order to make himself more powerful.Appearance: Neo Metal Sonic shares some distinctive traits with his base form, such as black eyes with red irises, a similar torso with a rocket engine in the center, and the primary blue color with red shoes. There are a number of differences that Neo Metal Sonic features as well. His head has five long quills as opposed to his regular three, with white stripes and markings around his eyes, similar to that of Shadow the Hedgehog. The yellow color in his ears has been replaced with red and his once grey nose is now black.He also possesses more pronounced body armor, with black and curved shoulder plates, larger gauntlets and leg armor with pointy kneecaps that have white outlines, a plate covering his pelvis and elf-like shoes. He also sports a spiky belt with a black cape that protrudes out of the back of his waist. History: Sonic HeroesPrior to Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic assumed this form as he sought to defeat Sonic on his own and conquer the world himself, as he held the "key to destroy the world."[4] To this end, he betrayed Dr. Eggman, took control of the Eggman Empire and began seeking out the data needed for him to transform into Metal Overlord. To achieve this, Neo Metal needed to copy the lifeform data of other beings. Using his shapeshifting abilities to pass as the real Sonic, Neo Metal would also kidnap Froggy and Chocola in order to obtain their data on Chaos as well. When Team Sonic, Team Rose, Team Dark, and Team Chaotix began their adventures, Neo Metal Sonic would cross paths with the groups on various occasions in the guise of Dr. Eggman and get the lifeform data he needed from them. By the time Team Dark and Team Sonic defeated the Egg Albatross, Neo Metal Sonic had successfully copied Shadow's data and that of all the teams, and when Team Rose defeated Neo Metal Sonic in the Egg Emperor, he had copied Chaos' data as well, making him release Froggy and Chocola from captivity.With all the data he needed, Neo Metal revealed himself to the heroes and destroyed the Final Fortress' tower before using the debris to transform into Metal Madness, and later Metal Overlord. However, he was later defeated by Team Sonic and reverted to Neo Metal Sonic, and then back to his original form with Sonic promising him a rematch at any time. Powers and abilities: Neo Metal Sonic is, like his normal form, able to scan the life data of other life forms, allowing him to copy and replicate others' attributes and abilities flawlessly. Due to his actions throughout Sonic Heroes, it can be assumed that he possessed the abilities of all the teams, plus those of Chaos himself, at the climax of the story.Neo Metal Sonic has the power to shapeshift, allowing him to change his appearance and body structure. When shapeshifting, he turns into a puddle of liquid metal and then emerges in a new form. This allows him not only to perfectly imitate the appearance of organic creatures, but also the appearance of robots as well, such as fake Dr. Eggman robot copies, though Tails could tell it was not an Eggman robot. He can also safely contain creatures such as Froggy and Chocola inside of himself until he had copied Chaos' data.As demonstrated when he first revealed himself to the heroes, Neo Metal Sonic can create lightning bolts from his hands, launch them into the sky and then bring it back down with enough power to blow up the Final Fortress' largest tower. He can also manipulate outside elements through unknown means to rebuild himself, such as when he used the debris from the Final Fortress' tower to rebuild himself into Metal Madness.In Sonic Speed Simulator, more of his armaments are shown, including the ability to launch Chaos Spear-like projectiles and energy beams from his hands, sending out pink energy waves resembling laser beams, and projecting protective force fields that can repel attacks. Transformations: Metal Madness: Metal Madness serves as the middle state of Metal Sonic's transformation into Metal Overlord, meaning Metal Madness is an incomplete form. He is briefly confronted by Team Dark, Team Rose, and Team Chaotix before he finishes transforming into Metal Overlord.Appearance: In this form, Neo Metal Sonic's appearance is that of a large, blue, heavily-armed mechanical dragon, with two eyes lined up vertically on his head. He has several long spikes on his upper body and many smaller ones running down his back and his long, curved tail. He has a flamethrower as his right hand, and his left hand has four fingers with claws that can be launched. He has no legs in this form. Instead, his lower body is attached to the Final Fortress with several thick cables.Powers and abilities: Despite being an incomplete transformation and having his movements hindered due to being attached to Dr. Eggman's Egg Fleet, Metal Madness is a very powerful figure. His might proved great enough to take on Team Rose, Team Chaotix and Team Dark at the same time, and while all the teams worked together, they could only slow him down. Dr. Eggman even stated that even with the seven Chaos Emeralds, they only had a slim chance of victory.Metal Madness is able to launch the spines on his back as missiles that can track the opponent, and when they hit the ground, they will sprout into indestructible sharp spike formations which will shatter automatically after some time. He can use his right hand to produce a powerful and large column of fire, and his left hand can shoot his claws as missiles which can trap his enemies in crystal cages (His claws will automatically regenerate). Possessing a tail, he can use it to land wide swipes over a large area. While he is also nearly invulnerable to harm, his weak spots in this form are the glowing markers on the left, right and front side of his lower body, which is only vulnerable to the right formation types. Metal Overlord: Being Metal Sonic's strongest known transformation, Metal Overlord is one of the most powerful foes Sonic and his friends have ever faced. In this form, Metal Overlord is strong enough to fight on par with Super Sonic, Super Knuckles, and Super Tails teaming up, and even then, the trio only had a slim chance of defeating him, if not even less.Due to him having grown wings, Metal Overlord is capable of flight and can fly at incredible speeds likely due to copying the data of Tails and other Flight Type characters, but is still slower than Super Sonic. He is also capable of enormous feats of strength due to copying the data of Knuckles and other Power Type characters, as he can easily pick up ships from the Egg Fleet with just one hand and throw them. Additionally, Metal Overlord has proven himself to be highly physically durable in this form, nearing that of invincibility. Normal attacks from even Super State characters cannot hurt him, and he does not appear to have any weak points in this form. The only known attack capable enough to inflict damage on him is Team Sonic's Team Blast, Super Sonic Power.Metal Overlord can fire rapid barrages of crystal pillars and launch the spikes on his back as homing missiles, much like in his previous form. This time around, however, he can fire them at a much faster rate. He can also fire his left claws as missiles that can trap his target in a crystal cage which is strong enough to trap even a Super State user.Metal Overlord can also perform Chaos Control, due to him copying Shadow and Sonic's data, which allows him to freeze time temporarily. It is unknown if he can perform it for longer periods of time, or if he has the skills to further manipulate time and space.Appearance: Metal Overlord's physical appearance is nearly identical to that of Metal Madness, meaning he resembles a large, blue, heavily-armed mechanical dragon, with two eyes lined up vertically on his head. He has several long spikes on his upper body and many smaller ones running down his back and his long, curved tail. The only physical difference between Metal Overlord and Metal Madness is that he has grown a pair of mechanical wings on his lower body and detaches himself from the fleet, leaving several cables hanging from the bottom of his body. Super Neo Metal Sonic: By harnessing the Master Emerald's power for himself, Neo Metal Sonic is able to attain a Super State called Super Neo Metal Sonic. In this state, all of Neo Metal Sonic's abilities far surpass his normal ones. He is also able to project harmful energy blasts and bolts, also has infinite energy. Appearance: Super Neo Metal Sonic looks identical to his form before powering up with the Master Emerald. However, in placement of his blue coat of paint, he glows gold instead. History: In a stand-off against Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles the Echidna inside his newly-built fortification around the Master Emerald's shrine on Angel Island, Neo Metal Sonic assumed the new form of Super Neo Metal Sonic by absorbing the power of the Master Emerald before challenging the two heroes.Super Neo Metal Sonic proceeded to toy around with Sonic and Knuckles in battle, all while ruining or foiling any plan and attempt they made to snatch the Master Emerald away from him. After defeating both heroes easily, Super Neo Metal Sonic found disappointment in them as he never had to unleash his final form. Suddenly, however, he was attacked by Shadow, who forced him back to his previous form with a Chaos Spear to the torso and beaten back to his throne on the Master Emerald.Master OverLord: With the bio-data of Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog, and the Master Emerald itself, Neo Metal Sonic is able to transform into a giant, dragon-like robot called Master Overlord. In this state, Neo Metal Sonic is even stronger than his Super Neo Metal Sonic state. Some of the abilities that he commands include flight, crystal generation, and enhanced strength and durability. Appearance: Bearing a similar appearance to his previous final forms, Master Overlord is a dragon-like entity of massive size, dwarfing even the Master Emerald's shrine. He has head armor similar to Neo Metal Sonic's, but with his quills combed more backwards, and he has two red eyes with black sclera aligned vertically on his face. Also, instead of a muzzle, he has a mouth with sharp teeth and red gums. He also has a long gray neck, a chest resembling a blue jet engine with a yellow and black intake, a thin gray spine for a torso section, and a blue pelvis that the Master Emerald is embedded in. Attached to his pelvis are four long, knife-like "legs". He also has a long purple and lavender-striped tail with two axe-like blades at the tip. Also, attached to both sides of his pelvis is a blue fin-like section, each one having three gray metallic wings with long knife-like feathers attached to them. He also has two arms, each of which is mostly made up of a gray cable with a thick blue gauntlet at the end. He also has four-fingered, round dark gray hands with knife-like gray fingers. Also, around each of his shoulders are two blue fin-like sections. Those fins closest to his torso also have three long gray spikes protruding upward from each of them. History(continuity of Super neo metal sonic story): As part of his scheme to expand the Eggman Empire in his master's absence, Metal Sonic hatched a plan to use the power of the Master Emerald and the bio-data of Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog to transform in the Master Overlord. Having already copied Sonic's bio-data from an encounter on the Egg Fleet, Neo Metal Sonic took the next step by having the Egg Fleet successfully invade Angel Island in Knuckles's absence. After that, he simply lay in wait atop the Master Emerald until Sonic and Knuckles arrived, transforming into Super Neo Metal Sonic. He had both of them on the ropes until Shadow eventually appeared and reverted Neo Metal Sonic back out of his Super State. Neo then copied Shadow's bio-data and using the Master Emerald's power finally transformed into the Master OverlordAfter his transformation, Master Overlord started attacking Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow at the shrine. Wanting to make them suffer, Master Overlord grabbed the trio and began flying towards the battleship the heroes' allies were on so they could watch him crush them. While he was busy dealing with the battleship however, Sonic, Shadow, and Knuckles escaped his grasp and began attacking his body. Master Overlord was further distracted when Sonic began taunting him, which gave Sonic's allies the opportunity to close in and start tearing Master Overlord apart. Just as he managed to shake everyone off him however, Master Overlord was rammed by the battleship that Tails was in control of. While he was distracted, Knuckles managed to pry the Master Emerald out of Master Overlord and return it to Angel Island. Without the gem, Master Overlord reverted back to his normal form. As Master Overlord, Metal Sonic's powers are similar to his Metal Overlord form. He is stronger than his super state.[2] In fact, it took the combined might of the Resistance's core members and allies to inflict noticeable damage on him, and even this feat was not easily pulled off.[1]Powers and abilities: In this form, Metal Sonic is capable of flight and possesses incredible strength, enough to stop an Egg Fleet's battleship in midair by hand alone. He is also highly durable, being able to withstand the firepower of an Egg Fleet battleship without a scratch and multiple assaults from highly powerful individuals, although he would be slowly worn down by the latter. Even more so, he could survive having one of his arms blown off and most of his wings torn off. In addition, he can generate and fire a rapid barrages of crystal pillars.
