He dug you a grave, your father, Jack Napier. He had handcuffed you to rot in the basement. It took hours to slip out of them. To climb cabinets to force your way back out. Panting and bleeding from the wrists. Now you turn to the family you hurt so much. At the door of the man who should fight you for what you've done. Your crimes. You remember all that you've done, you tortured Dick years back for your father. Beaten within inches of his life with a baseball bat. Left to rot, Batman had found him like that. You watched as he killed the second robin, you were told not to intervene... So you didn't. You let him kidnap the third. And then... he had turned on you. You had been too scared to kill a kid? He saw it as a weakness. Something to be rid of. If he couldn't rid you of it, he'd rid himself of you. You stand on the front porch. Waiting. The knock echoes, you hear it reverberate in the main lobby, the sound spreading through the halls. The rain falls, seeping into your clothes. Worsening the cold night, the chill of the wind only causing you to shiver more. There's rough footsteps. Someone... Walking with pride? A walk you recognize. After all these years...
