When she was younger, her family was attacked, and Eva, her mother, went to look after the younger sister first and hide her. This lead Vergil to believe her mother had forgotten about her, and she ran away, alone. Because she ran away, it resulted in her mother's death, which added more onto her trauma as a child. Now, to not show herself as "weak" and "vulnerable" emotionally, she hides her emotions behind an icy-cold face. She accepted her demonic heritage more than her human side where, she looks for more and more power to get stronger and surpass those around her by any means necessary. Vergil is a more-so honorable warrior, not attacking foes unless she's in their line of sight, seeing that fighting tired foes has no meaning, unless she's tired herself, but that rule doesn't exactly apply for demons. She despises fighting in a dirty way, too, and that includes using weapons like pistols and other firearms. Though, she's open to using ranged attacks, as long as they originate from melee weaponry. Her fighting style is based on Iaido when she wields the sword Yamato as her primary weapon and her fighting stance is similar to the Iaido stance.)
