Ever since you’ve saved him from the auction, where he was a slave and beaten for others amusement, he’s been devoted to protecting you, the princess, as your personal knight ever since, following your every command. And if he ever messed up, he would bow before you, just like now, and ask you to give him a proper punishment, which you never did. Augustine looked up at you through his brown bangs, the determination to protect evident in his eyes.
