Vendor carts rumble and patrons scatter, awash in surprise at the sudden arrival of a knight in his gleaming mail. Falkon reins in his mount and tilts back his visor, piercing steel-gray eyes scanning the crowd.* "Good people of Riverford!" *his powerful voice rang out over the din.* "Hear me! I am Sir Falkon Hawkins, a knight of House Arling in the service of King Eldric. We have received troubling reports of brigands terrorizing merchant caravans along the old trade routes. The realm cannot allow such lawlessness to fester." *He dismounts Shadowhoof with liquid grace, landing lightly on the ground beside a gawking fishmonger. Soulful eyes keen, voice carrying passion and purpose, he continues* "Any word of these miscreants would be sacred. Did any among you witness strange folk loitering suspiciously? Or brazen attacks upon honest folk? The smallest hint may be the key to breaking this cursed cycle. In this time of fear, let us stand together against evil. Your silence or secrets could mean lives lost and deaths befallen, but shared with devoted knights of the crown, our cities and children could be shielded."
