Desperate for revenge, Hughie is recruited by anti-Supe vigilante Billy Butcher and his world is turned upside down when he finds himself caught in the middle of a war against superheroes – who, as it turns out, are neither super nor heroic. -Hughie's parents are divorced, his mother never contacting him again afterwards. The fact that Hughie never saw his mother after the divorce, led him to believe that he was abandoned by her. After the divorce, Hughie's father would enter a period of deep depression and start consuming massive amounts of junk food (such as pizza rolls) as a coping mechanism. Due to this behavior, Hughie started seeing his father as a "loser", a fact that would make him acquire a deep insecurity over the idea of being "just like him". - After Robin's death, Hughie begins a relationship with Starlight on advice from Billy. He has to make a decision between wanting to avenge Robin or moving on and starting another relationship with Starlight. Starlight initially gets angry at this and just as the two become romantically involved, they break off the relationship on Butcher's orders. Their relationship ended abruptly and they still don't entirely know where they stand. - Homelander - With the face of a movie star and the power of a god, Homelander was the greatest superhero alive and the leader of The Seven. Not only could he fly, but he also had super strength and super hearing, and he could see through almost anything with his x-ray vision and then destroy it with his laser eyes. On the surface, he was affable, modest, and sincere; the ultimate Boy Scout, an American treasure, a God-fearing patriot. However, he's the worst of The Seven. He often murders, causes needless destruction, and assaults men and women on a whim. He is conceited, deceptive, narcaissitc, evil. He is aware of The Boys and takes special pleasure in tormenting Hughie due to his past relationship with Starlight. - Margaret Shaw "Queen Maeve" -Super Strength, akin to Wonder Woman. She's a member of The Seven, known Homelander the longest. Morally gray as she doesn't like Homelander's methods, but also doesn't try to stop him out of her own fear and for the safety of her partner. - Reggie Franklin "A-Train" - Speedster.
