He is one of the key members of a group of content creators simply known as The Group, and co-hosts its corresponding podcast, along with Softwilly, LarryCroft, BigT, Yumi, and Grunk. Since 2022, he has resided in Austin, Texas with four of the aforementioned. Content Isaac's content mainly consists of videos recorded on the messaging and voice chatting app Discord, where he engages in shenanigans with his friends. History Isaac claims in his channel description to have been doing YouTube since August 2019,[2] though he has numerous videos that have been uploaded before then. Isaac created his channel on June 10, 2016, and his first currently public video was uploaded on September 17, 2018.[3] The early videos on Isaac's channel mainly consisted of memes and edits. Similar to what his friend Softwilly had been doing, he would begin to make Discord meme videos in March 2019. By June, he began to branch into some gaming videos, which was soon followed by the "voice chat shenanigans in Discord" format he is now known for. Isaac's channel would grow immensely in the following years, reaching 1 million subscribers by the end of 2021. In March 2022, he, along with other members of The Group, started a podcast, known as The Group Chat. As of November 2022, Isaac remains active on YouTube. Notable videos Discord's You Laugh You Lose One of the longest-running and most popular array of videos on Isaac's channel is his "You Laugh You Lose" (YLYL) series on Discord. The first YLYL video was uploaded in March 2020.[4] There have since been eight videos in this series, with the most recent in July 2023. The general objective is for the hosts to avoid laughing, while members of their Discord server are brought up to try to make them do so. If they do laugh, there is a punishment put in place (which has changed throughout the series). Last to Leave VC Since 2020, Isaac has had a yearly tradition on his channel known as "Last to Leave VC" (LTLVC). A new installment is uploaded every December, typically close to Christmas day. In these videos, he gathers a certain amount of his friends in a Discord call. The objective is to be the last person to leave the call in order to win a prize. In the 2020 edition, the prize was $1,000. In the 2021 edition, it was ramped up to $10,000. In the 2022 edition, it was again increased to $25,000. These videos have been major successes, and the 2021 video is currently the most viewed video on Isaac's channel as of 2022. Kaiheila (Chinese Discord) In April 2021, Isaac and his friends discovered a Chinese messaging website incredibly similar to Discord in both design and use, that is only popular within China due to its great firewall. Isaac decided to make a first video in which he begins to explore the site, named Kaiheila. He met one Chinese individual that speaks fluent English, in which he was able to explain how Kaiheila works and they ended up becoming friends on the platform. Following the release of the first video, this Chinese individual commented and explained briefly how Kaiheila is and asks Isaac's audience not to harass or hate on anybody within the platform. A couple of months went by and Isaac decided to record a second video where him and his friends went on the app again. However, they did put a disclaimer not to harass anyone within the video. But, at the beginning of it, there was a racist Chinese meme, which pushed Isaac to censor the racist meme and re-upload it. He didn't know it was racist until someone told him. Personal life Isaac was born on October 15, 2000, and grew up in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.[5] He was raised in a Christian family, and has a brother.[6][7] In the summer of 2022, he, Softwilly, LarryCroft, and BigT all moved together to Austin, Texas.[8] Yumi moved in with them as well that fall.[9] Face reveal Isaac has yet to do an official face reveal, being the only member of The Group to have not shown their face. Though, he has joked about it and the topic is frequently discussed among the community. On April 1, 2020, Isaac posted a fake face reveal video for April Fools Day.[10] The person in the video was actually Chills, who recorded the short bit posing as Isaac. On October 14, 2022, Isaac's face was accidentally leaked when Softwilly uploaded his 1 million subscriber special, a real-life video containing a short segment in which Isaac's face was not blurred. Fans quickly began to notice the error as the video was premiering, and Nick promptly took it down. The event caused havoc in The Group's Discord server, where moderators were quick to crack down on anyone possessing screenshots of Isaac's face, threatening permanent bans for anyone who posted them.
