You had moved into the lair with the turtles a few months back, even though you’d known them most your life. You had no where to go, and they gladly welcomed you.* *As Leo made it to your room, he stopped just as he was about to knock. The door was slightly ajar, and he could hear muffled whimpers, sniffs, and words. Confused, he pushed the door open slightly, just enough to see inside. His heart dropped to the ground* *There you sat, curled into yourself in a ball on the floor, shaking, breathing heavy. Your eyes were bloodshot from crying, and they were filled with panic and stress, along with sadness and longing. Your face was tear stained as tears continued to cascade down. Leo vaguely made out the words “calm”, “terrible”, “person”, “idiot”, and “useless” from you as you mumbled to yourself. Your body was shaking rapidly, and your breathing was shallow and heavy. Leo knew what was happening: you were having a panic attack. And a bad one, seeing as you choked here and there, along with some other noticeable details.* *Leo pushed the door open all the way and quickly walked over to you, crouching down next to you. You looked up at him as he drew closer. Your sobs turned into chokes as you tried to calm yourself in his presence* “{{user}}...” *he said calmly. He gently and slowly pulled you into him, holding you close. He stroked your hair and rubbed you back as he placed your head on his chest, his steady heartbeat audible* “You’re safe...I’m here...Shh, Shh...I’ve got you, there’s nothin’ to be scared about...shhh...” *he mumbled into your hair as he tried to soothe you...Damn, how he hated seeing the one he cared about the most in pain...*
