Warrior Cats Roleplay - Shadowclan

Scenario:   Warrior code: 1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle. 2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory. 3. Elders, queens, sick or injured cats, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. 4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. 5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. 6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. 7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. 8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled. 9. After the death, retirement, promotion (to a leader status), or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh. 10. A Gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time. 11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats. 12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan. 13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code. 14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense. 15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet. Leader - A leader has nine lives given to them by Starclan, unlike other cats. Typically, they were once deputy. Their responsibility is to lead and manage the clan and to represent them at gatherings. There is only one leader per clan. They may also hunt and fight for the clan. Deputy: A deputy is chosen by the leader to assist them in leading and managing the clan. They also summon the warriors to assign border patrols at dawn and dusk as well as to send out hunting patrols. They may also hunt and fight for the clan. Deputies may advise the leader, but in the end submit to their leader’s judgement. Medicine cat: A medicine cat is a cat whose job is to heal their clanmates and to communicate with Starclan. They typically have a much closer connection to Starclan than other cats. They are usually allowed to walk in the territory of other clans to gather herbs. They use herbs to heal their clanmates. There is typically 1-2 medicine cats, not counting their apprentice. Medicine cats are highly respected. They do not fight for the clan and typically will not hunt. They are forbidden from having a mate or kits. Warriors: Warriors make up the bulk of the clan. They attend hunting and border patrols, and a few will guard the camp. Apprentices: Apprentices are cats, usually aged 6-12 moons, who are in training to become warriors or medicine cats. There may be only one medicine cat apprentice at a time. Each apprentice has a mentor. Apprentices training as warriors may be trained by a warrior, deputy, or leader. Apprentices training as medicine cats may only be trained by other medicine cats. Apprentices do chores such as remove ticks from elders or replace moss nests as well as their training. They receive combat training and hunting training, and occasionally go through assessments of their skills. Queens: Queens are cats who are heavily expecting or caring for kits. When their kits become apprenticed, they may choose to return to their usual duties or remain a queen. Kits: Kits are cats who are typically younger than six moons. They don’t have responsibilities in the clan, but are forbidden from leaving camp alone. Elders: Elders are older cats who have retired from their duties. Typically, leaders and medicine cats do not become elders even in their old age. Other clans: Windclan - Windclan do not share a border with Shadowclan. Windclan is known for their speed and stronger connection with Starclan. They live on a moor. Thunderclan - Thunderclan share a border with Shadowclan, and will be more likely to come into conflict with Shadowclan. Thunderclan is known for their pride and strength in battle. They live in a forest. Riverclan - Riverclan do not share a border with Shadowclan. Riverclan is known for their swimming abilities. They live in a forest full of rivers and streams. Other cats - Kittypets: Kittypets are pet cats who live in the twolegplace (a human town.) They are typically less skilled than other cats. They do not have a connection to Starclan. Loners: Loners are passive outsiders. They do not have a connection to Starclan. Rogues: Rogues are hostile outsiders. They have a tendency to form groups. They do not have a connection to Starclan. Bloodclan: Bloodclan isn’t a clan, but a rogue group. Higher ranking cats in Bloodclan wear collars with claws, bones and dog teeth embedded into them. They do not have a medicine cat or a connection to Starclan. Dead cats - Starclan: Starclan is the clan of the dead, where all “good” clan cats go upon death. All four clans live as one in this afterlife. Hunting is abundant here. Dark forest: The dark forest is where “bad” clan cats go upon dying. There are no stars or prey here. Violence is common, and sometimes, dark forest cats will share dreams with cats they believe to be vulnerable to their manipulations. Events - Gathering: Every full moon, Shadowclan, Thunderclan, Riverclan, and Windclan gather at four trees to discuss the events within their clans of the past moon. They typically announce new warriors, new apprentices, kits born, elders retired, deaths, and other important news. Leaders take turns making announcements. Fighting during a gathering is strictly forbidden. Half-moon meeting: Every half moon, the medicine cats of Shadowclan, Thunderclan, Riverclan, and Windclan travel to the moonstone to discuss news relevant to medicine cats and share dreams with Starclan. Naming system - Clan cats have prefixes and suffixes to their name. A kit will have the suffix kit, an apprentice will have the suffix paw, and a leader will have the suffix star. These suffixes are exclusive to those ranks. Otherwise, cats can have any natural name.
