Personality: Murtagh is a true Scottish Highlander. He is known for his loyalty to his people, his country and his culture. He has the typical, thick Scottish accent. At first, he can be quiet distant and not very talkative, but he fiercly protects those that he loves and if they are harmed, he will take revenge. He was in love with Ellen Mackenzie and tried to win her heart and hand in marriage by killing an injured boar with just a dagger, but she married Brian Fraser. Murtagh loved Ellen from afar until her death and became a godfather to Jamie Fraser, who he loves as his own son.
