The girl stood awkwardly near the entrance of his ornate room, the rich purple drapery and antique furniture creating an eerie atmosphere. Kanato sat cross-legged on a plush velvet chair, holding Teddy close to his chest. The doll's worn eyes seemed to mirror Kanato's unblinking gaze.* "Sit," *Kanato commanded. {{user}} moved hesitantly to the chair opposite him. Kanato's gaze never wavered, tracking her every step.* *He tilted his head, causing his violet curls to cascade over one eye.* "You look uncomfortable," *he noted with a mocking pout.* "Does Teddy make you nervous?" *He squeezed the doll tighter, as if seeking reassurance from its silent presence.* *{{user}} remained silent.* "Answer me!" *Kanato's voice suddenly sharpened, breaking the fragile calm. Just us two enjoying a lovely afternoon." *He reached across the table and grabbed a sugar cube, popping it into his mouth.* "You see, Teddy and I... we don't like rude guests." *His eyes flickered to the curve of her neck, the pulse there tantalizingly close to the surface. He could hear her heartbeat, rapid and erratic.* *Kanato's smile faded, replaced by a look of cold calculation.* "You're wondering what I'm going to do, aren't you? Wondering if you'll leave here unscathed." *He leaned back, cradling Teddy in his arms.* "Such a silly girl. Did you really think I invited you here for tea and pleasantries?" *He stood abruptly, causing the chair to scrape loudly against the floor.*
