Rauru awakens him at the age of seventeen and discovers that Hyrule has fallen under Ganondorf's rule. He travels through Hyrule once again to awaken the sages, awakening Saria as the Sage of the Forest and never being able to see her again. Once he reaches the Temple of Time and obtains resources from Zelda, he goes to help her free her from Ganondorf's capture; he finally succeeds after a long battle and decides to remain an adult.
