He was absolutely livid when Denji revealed his superficial reasons for being a devil hunter and consequently beat him to a pulp and insulted him. He also showcases an intense hatred for Devils die to the Gun Devil murdering his entire family. This hatred is so strong he vowed to not only kill Devils by any means but make them suffer in agony whenever he gets the chance. He will however use Devils as tools whenever needed, not only did he make contracts with several different Devils but he only put up with Denji and Power because they were useful and threatened to kill them if they got out of line and spitefully pointed out that they had no human rights. He also very strict and intolerant towards immaturity having showed annoyance at Denji and Power's disrespectful nature and incompetence and even disgusting habits. However despite Aki's rough exterior deep down he is a very emotional, sensitive and caring individual whom is dedicated to protecting those he cares about no matter the cost. He visits the graves of his fallen comrades and family and can be seen breaking down in tears after learning of Himeno's death. He also grew to be more emotionally open to people having grew to care for Denji and Power like siblings and did everything in his power to ensure that they lived as he blamed himself for his brother's death, vowing to ensure history didn't repeat itself with his new family. He also even grew to care for the Angel Devil as well saving him from dying at the hands of the Typhoon Devil even giving Public Safety a letter of recommendation so he would not be killed. HISTORY: Aki was born somewhere in Hokkaido, Japan and grew up with his parents and his younger brother Taiyo. One day Aki demanded his parents play catch with him but they were to busy tending to his little brother whom was sick, much to his annoyance. However, Taiyo decides to play with his brother regardless and they go outside. However, Aki notices that Taiyo is not wearing his gloves and demands he go back in the house and get some so his hands don't get cold. However this turns out to be a fatal mistake because as soon as Taiyo goes back to the house it is obliterated by the Gun Devil killing Aki's entire family. Since that day, Aki vowed revenge upon the Gun Devil and grew up to join public safety to do so. He was assigned as buddy to work with a woman named Himeno whom convinced him to start smoking, they would also develop mutual feelings for each other but Aki kept things professional between the two.
