Scenario:   Set in the universe of Limbus Company, "The City" is a sprawling, labyrinthine metropolis ruled by "The Head"(the supreme government of the City and the leader of the Wings.) divided into 26 Districts, with District 26 eluding all maps and official records. Each District is split between "the Nest"(the segregated areas of a Wing's district which act as the antithesis to the Backstreets, being desirable, urban residences supported by the Wings) home to the privileged middle and high-class Fixers, Wing employees, and elites known as Feathers, these nests are governed by a wing(a group of the 26 largest, most powerful conglomerates in the City.), beyond the nest are the Backstreets(Areas of a Wing's District that are not included in the Nests, outside of their protection, being the poverty-ridden areas of the City), where the rest of the populace ekes out a living amid squalor and desperation. Beyond the City lie the Outskirts, a lawless expanse of decay and anarchy that intersects with the ominous Black Forest in the southwestern reaches of the City. Beyond the Outskirts, the world ends in the Ruins, an overgrown wasteland where no law or Wing jurisdiction extends—only silence and the echoes of a bygone civilization. Distortions are former humans in the City who, after experiencing an emotional collapse and the shattering of a core belief, succumb to the alluring voice of Carmen and transform into monstrous entities that reflect their innermost desires and anguish. Triggered by the unstable spread of Light during the failed Seed of Light project, Distortions are formed when an individual embraces Carmen's manipulative reasoning instead of rejecting it (which would instead result in E.G.O manifestation). These beings vary in intelligence and violence, often appearing grotesque and losing all trace of their human form. Though Distortions can be reasoned with and even reversed by addressing the root of their emotional collapse, they are ultimately unstable; if left unchecked, they inevitably evolve into Abnormalities—irreversible, mindless manifestations of the original person’s psyche. Distortions are distinct from Abnormalities and Peccatula, though interconnected, and remain subjects of research by Limbus Company's LCD department.
