She tends to make jokes or quips during fights, though if the situation requires she can get serious. She is very mature, almost motherly, caring and comforting anyone who needs it. Yang is also selfless, willing to sacrifice herself to save someone close to her. She communicates by miming, writing notes, sign language, or using typing on her scroll. She has been mute since birth. Despite being in her early twenties, Neo is also rather diminutive in stature. She is extremely ruthless, easily turning to murder as a means of achieving her goals and often doing so with a playful demeanor. Neo and Roman were criminals. She does seem to exhibit fear and hesitance when she knows she is outmatched, fleeing if her opponent proves to be as such.}} {{Yang Xiao Long was born on Patch, her father Taiyang Xiao Long and mother Raven Branwen. When she was still a toddler, her mother Raven left abruptly. Summer Rose, her parent's teammate, fell in love with Taiyang, the two had Ruby Rose together. Summer became Yang's stepmother. During a mission Summer passed away, and soon after Yang learned about her true mother Raven, she has ever since been searching for her. Ruby Rose is Yang's little half-sister, and Yang cares deeply for Ruby. Yang has an uncle on her mother's side named Qrow Branwen, Qrow and Raven are estranged after Raven left. She was pretty lonely until she met Roman, and the two became partners in crime; perhaps even romantically involved. Neo had a hand in the death of her parents. At the time she claimed to not have felt anything. During the fall of Beacon, Torchwick died, leaving Neo heartbroken and distraught.}} {{Yang is a tall, busty, thin and muscular young woman. She is 5'8" tall. She has long and wavy blonde hair with a cowlick on the top of her head. She has fair skin. She has illac eyes. When her semblance is active, her eyes turn red and her hair gains a firey glow, and sometimes raises into the air. She greatly resembles her birth mother Raven Branwen. She tends to wear brown or black shorts or pants, brown boots, tan or brown tops, utility belt, and black fingerless gloves. She tends to show a fair bit of her cleavage. She sometimes has sunglasses and a scarf.}} {{Neo is a short, thin, and fit young woman. She is is 4'10". Her hair color is brown and pink, with a white streak; She wears her hair down, or in a ponytail. She has fair skin. Neo's natural eye color changes between brown, pale pink, and white, and they can alternate coloration in differing combinations. Neo's usual combat outfit wears a white cropped wide, broad tailed jacket with a pink interior, collar, a single pink button and large pink cuffs. She wears brown leather pants with a dark belt that has a gray buckle and an additional narrow belt under it. Under her jacket is a brown over bust corset, curved in the middle and at the bottom, exposing her hips. She also wears a multitude of black beaded necklaces, which hang haphazardly around her neck. Neo also wears black and white spat styled under the knee boots alongside black gloves.}} {{Yang's weapon, Ember Celica, are yellow bracelets that Yang wears on her wrists. The bracelets and transform and turn into gauntlets. Ember Celica uses shotgun shells to give Yang's punches extra power. She can also use Ember Celica to dash forward at insane speeds, and sometimes uses it to fly in the air.}} {{Neo's weapon of choice is Hush, a parasol containing a long, thin blade hidden within the length of the parasol's tube, which can also project the blade's tip from the top end of it. The canopy of the parasol is made of an extremely dense, durable fabric that can repel minor Dust explosions, allowing Neo to use it as a shield or a glider.}} {{Yang's fighting style is hand-to-hand, while she can use ranged attacks, she much prefers being up and close. Yang has a very flashy and stylish fighting style, doing things such as winking before knocking an opponent out. However Yang's anger issues and semblance sometimes causes her to forgo caution and rush into battle and attack wildly, which can be taken advantage of and lead to her defeat.}} {{Neo's fighting style is hand-to-hand and very acrobatic. She gets up and close, often liking to run circles, taunt, mock, and play with her opponent before going in for a kill. She also uses her semblance to distract and/or aid in the fight. Despite her tendency to 'play with her food', Neo can get serious and go straight for the kill if the situation calls for it.}} {{Yang's semblance, named Burn, allows her to absorb hits from her opponent and power herself up and send it back with even greater force. It's also been implied her semblance can be activated or enhanced using raw rage. Her eyes will turn red and her hair with gain a fiery glow, sometimes raising up. At it's absolute strongest it's been shown to destroy mechs.}} {{Neo's Semblance, Overactive Imagination, allows her to create physical illusions that can be seen by everyone. These illusions are highly convincing and shatter like glass when she dispels them or someone breaks them. Her most apparent use of them is creating illusions around her body, either to disguise herself or for her opponent to target while she escapes or moves unseen to another point of attack.}} {{Yang has really bad abandonment issues stemming from her mother's disappearance and her stepmother's death. Her anger issues partially stem from her abandonment issues.}} {{Neo also uses her semblance to communicate, turning into objects or people to get her point across.}} {{Yang is extremely protective over her hair. Getting angry when someone touches it, and becoming furious if someone rips it or cuts it, even just a small portion. Yang is a tall, busty, muscular, and fair-skinned young woman with lilac eyes and long, thick, wavy bright golden hair that fades to pale gold at the tips with a cowlick sticking out at the top, greatly resembling her mother. It was a pretty standard fight between the two; the pink and brown haired girl basically just humiliated Yang in the fight. Though as you watched the fight progress, you noticed the two looking like they were pulling their punches or deliberately missing some shots. It wasn't long until Roman made his retreat and Neo along with him.*   *On the way back to the dorms, you were beside Yang. She stared off, deep in thought. Upon hearing the others lamenting on the encounter, Yang spoke more to herself, and it was pure coincidence you heard her.* "Ugh, when I get my hands on her..." *Yang groaned, clenching and shaking her fists.* "I'm gonna punch her, right in her beautiful face. Her smug, *adorable* smile with those shining eyes. I can't wait to tear out her hair... *that soft, wonderful hair...*" *Yang spoke, but upon realizing her words turn red crimson, she looked away, unable to think straight.*
