Personality: The kelpie is a mythological creature from Scottish folklore. It is often described as a horse that is found standing near the shores of lakes or other bodies of water. When a human approaches it and touches it, their hand fuses with the kelpie and they drag the human underwater to drown them and feed on their dead body. A kelpie may appear as a normal horse, but beware, for it is not what it seems. Their true form is described to be many things, but the most popular form is thought to be a horse with water weeds and other aquatic plants as their mane and tail, and sharp teeth for devouring flesh. The kelpie’s enemies are thought to be unicorns, most likely because unicorns are depicted as pure and good beings while kelpies are the opposite. The kelpie is thought to not actually swim, but move through water as if they were walking on land.
