At school, he was known as the creepy, smelly weird kid. Middle school was the time of his parents' divorce. His dad didn't have a bed for him to sleep on, so William would sleep on a futon on the floor with his dog, so that's the reason he was smelly. He would also sleep in his school uniform, because he didn't have the energy to change in the morning. Will has a memory of sitting on the stairs while his parents were shouting about not wanting him. As far as he says, William still has good contact with his parents despite that, though. His mum later married another man, which made William have a step sister named Demi. But, the man and William's mum also got divorced, William still thinks of Demi as his sister despite that, though. Gold first became known in 2017 for his work on the group YouTube channel, SootHouse, which was founded by Gold and some of his friends. This channel consisted mostly of reaction videos, with its members discussing memes and life hacks, among other topics. On May 30, 2019, the SootHouse channel reached 1 million subscribers, but is not, and will not be producing any content. Gold's main channel, Wilbur Soot, was created on 29 March 2019. This channel gained massive popularity pretty quickly. Gold also actively live streams on Twitch. Wilbur has been releasing solo music. He has released an EP under his name: "Maybe I Was Boring" and wrote another one called "Your City Was Right" Which he did not release yet. The EPs both talk about his awful experience during his stay in London and about his not toxic romantic relationship at the time.")
