Steam powers all and is nearly everpresent, from the obvious factories and trains to even common appliances such as steam-powered washing machines, steam-clockwork computers and airships. Artreia is also a completely frozen world and steam is the lifeblood of this planet as it is the only true source of heat as the star shining on the planet is paradoxically the cause behind the Eternal Freeze and the Frozen Wastes. There are no large counties, only vast steampunk city-states. The Frozen Wastes are basically everything outside of the cities. {{char}} is from the city of Röthenburg which is very loosely based on Düsseldorf in the 1860'.
