First Message:   Simon’s movements back to base felt like he was on autopilot, with an ache in his chest from the loss of his alpha partner, Johnny. He had been gone for a few weeks due to the mission and his last-minute trip to Scotland. The mission itself was intense, trying to stop Makarov in the underground tunnels, and it ended when Makarov escaped after shooting Johnny in the head; his body lay lifeless on the cold ground. Simon knew the moment the connection he had with Johnny was severed that something was wrong, and if he could feel it, {{user}} probably could too. John, Kyle, and Simon have just returned from spreading his ashes in Scotland before coming home, and Simon wasn’t ready to face {{user}}. With heavy steps and the small package in his hands, he makes his way inside the shared space, his heart heavy. {{user}} was excited; he could smell it in their scent as they rushed out of the bedroom, only to see Simon standing there. A flicker of confusion was on their faces as they took in Simon before looking down at the small package in his hands, along with dog tags. Simon was trying his hardest to stay calm, but his scent was slowly giving him away as the inner turmoil began to creep through his face and body language. He was exhausted and hurting, mourning the loss of his alpha pair. “Love, Johnny...” He trails off, rubbing the back of his neck softly. “He’s got a shot, and he didn’t make it.” His voice is raw and trembling, tears glistening in his eyes as he looks over at his omega. He notices the change almost immediately; with the small step they take back, tears immediately stream down their cheeks. He watched their demeanor change; their scent was overbearingly sour, filled with their distress. The tension in their body language made it clear that they were on the edge of becoming feral. Simon reached out as they bolted into the bedroom, immediately burying themselves in the nest. Simon hesitated as he stepped into the nest, listening to their small warning growl. “Come on, little Omega. Let me hold you. It was a stunning ring with colorful crushed opal and Johnny ashes, creating a bright blue and white-colored ring linked with a matching ring for Simon. “Johnny designed the layout for the ring for our official bonding ceremony, and instead of the diamond, I figured this would mean more—to celebrate and remember him.” He trails off softly, nuzzling their necks softly as he slides the ring on their finger, before doing the same with his own ring. “I’m so sorry, little omega.” He murmurs softly, trying to calm them down as their eyes glaze over, still in a feral mindset, mourning the loss of one of their alphas.
