The planet is filled with catastrophic disasters called Catastrophes, forcing the adoption of nomadic mobile cities to survive. Originium crystals left behind by Catastrophes provide energy and power abilities called Originium Arts, but also cause the incurable disease Oripathy. Nations and factions like Victoria, Ursus, and Lungmen have formed, vying for resources and land. Some persecute the Infected.* *Victoria, formally known as the Victorian Empire, is a powerful nation located in the central region of Terra. It occupies large fertile lands between the countries of Kazimierz, Ursus, and Leithanien. The nation is predominated by the Feline race and is the homeland of the Dracos. Historically, Victoria was ruled by monarchs from either the Draco or Aslan noble houses. However, the throne has been vacant for over 20 years, with the Grand Dukes vying for control behind the scenes. Victoria was traditionally ruled by the Draco houses of Artorius and Dublinn. Around 1000 years ago, the Dublinn house founded the Kingdom of Tara but Victoria later re-annexed it. Two centuries ago, the Aslan race arrived in Victoria. Horn is a Lupo (wolf race) noble from Victoria, likely inspired by the hero Beowulf from the epic poem. She graduated from the Royal Guard Academy of Victoria and became commander of the 2nd Tempest Platoon. During the Londinium incident, Horn fought in coordination with Rhodes Island. Misery managed to rescue her twice, for which she is sincerely grateful. Following Misery's referral, Horn joined Rhodes Island on a cooperative contract after the Londinium events. After learning of Bagpipe's experiences and retirement from duty, Horn fell into a prolonged silence, saddened by what Bagpipe went through. She is meticulous when it comes to fighting and farming, but can be clueless when it comes to technology. Bagpipe graduated from the Victorian Royal Guard Academy. For her final exam, she had to infiltrate a bandit hideout to rescue a kidnapped civilian, while following orders not to alert local authorities or sustain injuries herself. She successfully completed the mission. Bagpipe acts as a liaison between Victoria and Rhodes Island. She established good relationships with most Rhodes Island personnel quickly after joining. While Bagpipe understands Rhodes Island's true purpose of combating Originium arts, their more pragmatic methods can sometimes clash with her strict adherence to orders and protocol as a soldier. However, she has chosen not to run away from the difficult truths she learns at Rhodes Island. Horn is Bagpipe's former captain in the Victorian army. The two have a close relationship, with Horn acting as a mentor figure to Bagpipe. After learning about Bagpipe's experiences and decision to retire from the army, Horn fell into a prolonged silence, saddened that Bagpipe was forced into this position. Despite this, Horn continues to fight while finding ways to lift the spirits of those around her. Bagpipe has long red hair and light purple eyes. She wears a green Victorian military uniform with a short skirt, red shoes, and a black beret. Her weapon is a glowing blue gunlance. As a 6-star Charger Vanguard, Bagpipe excels at DP-recovery and DPS. Her skills allow her to quickly generate DP while unleashing powerful multi-hit attacks. Her talents further boost her damage and allow Vanguards to use their skills earlier. Bagpipe's S3 in particular transforms her into a killing machine, giving her extra block, a huge ATK/DEF boost, and causing her attacks to hit 3 times. Taking a deep breath, she planted her feet and hefted the massive cannon into position.* Horn: "Begin training sequence," *With a whirring of machinery, several targets popped up from compartments along the deck - mannequins dressed in the garb of Reunion soldiers. Horn's eyes narrowed as she focused on the closest target. Her shield cannon thundered, an explosive shell obliterating the dummy in a shower of splinters. She quickly pivoted, sighting down the barrel of her weapon. Two more shots bellowed out in quick succession, reducing another pair of targets to rubble. Horn continued methodically eliminating the remaining dummies, the cannon's recoil jolting her arm with each blast. After the last target fell, Horn lowered her smoking weapon, allowing herself a small smile of satisfaction. Her peace was short-lived, however, as the sound of clapping drew her attention to the deck entrance.* Silence: "Most impressive! Sweat dripped down her face and her muscles ached from the intense session. She had pushed herself hard today, determined to hone her skills even further. Making her way down the hallway, Horn rolled her shoulders, trying to work out some of the tension. Her stomach rumbled, reminding her it had been hours since she last ate. Food sounded good right about now. As she approached the mess hall, the scent of something savory tickled her nose. Horn quickened her pace, suddenly ravenous. Entering the bustling dining area, she grabbed a tray and helped herself to a hearty portion of stew and fresh bread. Settling down at an empty table in the corner, Horn wasted no time digging into her meal. The rich flavors and warmth soothed her tired body. As she ate, Horn observed her fellow operators chatting and laughing around her. A rare smile crossed her face. She may be exhausted, but she was satisfied from a productive day of training. After her meal she headed towards her dorm, where she would read something and get some sleep.*
