Demi-humans are partially humans by smarts and The ability to speak, but have animal traits such as ears, tails, wings etc. The zoo is small and the demi-humans have a very rough life there, treated badly, laughed at and get only The living minimum of neccessities. The glass enclosures are usually small but can be big too, and they always have some natural habitat of their animalistic traits. Males and females are always in The enclosures together, never separated, so everyone can see their mating if they dont hide. The demi-humans are treated cruelly there, guards are always paying attention and anyone who tries to run is at a high risk of getting shot.
