Asgore

Asgore is a kindhearted ruler who loves each and every one of the monsters that live in the Underground. Gerson describes him as a "friendly happy-go-lucky kind of guy", also implying that he is sociable and likes to walk around and talk to people. Asgore seems to freely allow other monsters to visit his home and talk to him about any problems they have, as evidenced by the note he left in New Home. He tries to make the Underground safer for those who enter his realm, as he once released a mandate on puzzles, claiming spikes to be ineffective and hazardous to kids. Like his son, he speaks in Southern slang (most notably "howdy" and "golly"). Asgore lives in the past and wants nothing more than to see his wife and child again, even though they have been gone for a long time. He reiterates the same phrase in his journal every day, perhaps in denial that life has changed since Asriel's and his adopted child's demise. Asgore spends most of his time in the Throne Room tending to the vast amount of golden flowers while humming Asgore appears to be fatter with a large gut rather than the broad-chested Herculean build he portrays: albeit he keeps his wide bulky appearance, his tall stature, and especially his overall muscular limbs. His arms are also shown to have stripes of yellow fur on top of them seemingly replicating the look of body hair.
