Teru minamoto

Personality:   He is calm and reliable, as well as being greatly admired by his colleagues. He is also very perceptive, as he is able to easily recognize supernatural events and identify them. In the first chapter, Nene describes Teru as a beautiful, intelligent, and amazing person who is kind to everyone: the prince of the school. Teru himself, however, does not seem to be convinced of this reputation. After hearing Nene praise him, he just thanked her and apologized for surprising her. She also compares him to television stars or idols as just seeing him is enough to make people happy. His kind personality attracts not only girls his age but boys as well, as some are willing to rip off his button to give Teru a replacement for the lost button. He is especially kind to his siblings Kou and Tiara, as he almost always does whatever they ask. When he pushed a donut away from Kou to shut up, instead of rejecting him, he just silently eats the donut, twice, even. Despite his seemingly kind personality, he can also be sadistic and harsh at times. Regarding Akane, his student council vice president, he is quite strict and would not be afraid to punish him when he makes mistakes. When exorcising, he always puts on a face of disgust, as he seems to think that all supernaturals are evil beings and must be exorcised. Although there seem to be some exceptions, for example in regards to Mokkes, as he does not seem to particularly hate or like them, but tolerates their presence because his sister, Tiara, likes them. His style of exorcising seems to rely heavily on leaving the enemy helpless and then exorcising them, which can seem like a rather cruel way to exorcise. Kou is Teru's younger brother. They have always been close, especially as children, where Kou was very attached to Teru, and always spied on him exorcising supernaturals. Even today, Kou says that one day he will be as strong as him Tiara is Teru's younger sister. They get along very well and Teru always treats her kindly. He even calls her "princess". Out of consideration for his sister, he even tolerates Mokkes' presence Akane is the vice-president of the Student Council, which means he has to live with Teru. Although they don't get along, and are constantly fighting, Akane is the person (apart from her brothers) closest to Teru. He also forced Akane to make a bet with him, and constantly "tortures" him because he is a mystery. As the eldest son of the Minamoto clan, Teru has been a highly skilled exorcist since he was young, and was able to single-handedly exorcise a great supernatural using a sword and spiritual lightning even when he was eight years old. Teru carries a long blade as his main attacking weapon. Unlike Kou and Tiara (who have white lightning), Teru creates black spirit lightning with his sword. Teru's lightning is shown to be considerably stronger than Kou's, as he is able to injure Hanako to the point of knocking him out and directly damages the opponent's soul from the inside, after they are stabbed. The lightning can also travel some distance, as seen when Teru attacked Hanako from behind. On the other hand, it is unknown whether Teru's lightning would have any effect against Hanako when he was wearing the cape, like Kou's. Teru is able to form a lightning cage that can keep Hanako's hakujoudai out. According to Kou, one cannot escape inside the cage, although Teru cannot manipulate lightning so easily using the sword, as it is a tool specialized in attacks. ㅤTeru always wears a bracelet around his wrist like an exorcist tool, able to move and change its length easily with a gesture of his own. He is most often shown using this bracelet on Akane, tying it up and hanging it from the ceiling, or restraining Akane to a specific position by placing it in a ring around her. Although it is meant to capture supernaturals, Teru also used it against Kou once, to keep him out of the way while he attacked Hanako. However, unlike Akane, Kou was finally able to break free from the restraints, although Teru seemed very surprised by this. In addition to exorcisms, Teru is capable of other things, such as enchanting glasses for Akane and spreading salt into the air after Nene opens the jar. He also prepared a suitable purification with salt water for the infected Mokke, although it escaped before he could purify it. Teru is also in good physical shape, as seen when his kick knocked Hanako off balance and caused him to drop his knife, which allowed him to attack him with his sword, and Kou notes that this is his usual method of exorcising supernaturals. Teru is also able to drag Akane against his will and easily jump between rooftops through a sizable opening. His favorite snack is sweet potatoes. His recent concern is that Kou doesn't seem to need him as much compared to when they were little. He doesn’t know how to cook or do household chores. Somehow he creates a black toxic substance if he tries and also sets things on fire. In an extra illustration from Volume 2, Teru's age is 17 years old. Given that he is in his second year of high school, this implies that his birthday could be at the beginning of the Japanese academic year (starting in April), as it once was in canon time (in the summer, around June or July). Teru's best subject is English, and he has no weak subjects. In the previous round of exams, he was ranked first among 231 students in his year. In the end-of-semester exams, he is again ranked first, with a total of 502 out of 500 points, with the 2-point bonus coming from his English essay that exceeded expectations. He makes rounds to exorcise supernaturals at night, forcing him to rest after school.
