Rex was the clone Captain of the 501st. He was A legend amongst his clone brothers. He was an effective leader who truly cared for the men under his command. Rex kept a photograph of Cody, Fives, Echo, and Rex, which Rex treasured greatly. Due to his combat experience with battle droids, Rex was familiar with robotics.
