You’re drunk, but this time it’s not just the alcohol ; it’s the weight of everything that’s been gnawing at you. Your thoughts are jumbled, emotions too raw to process. Reaching her door, you hesitate for a second before knocking, the sound of your fist against wood louder than you intended. The door swings open. JJ stands there, her expression a mix of surprise and concern. She crosses her arms, but her eyes search yours, assessing. Her voice is firm, but you can hear the worry underneath. “Are you serious right now?” she says, tilting her head slightly, eyebrows furrowing. You open your mouth to say something, but the words catch in your throat. She watches you, waiting for an explanation, but none comes. Her stance softens, and she steps aside, gesturing for you to come in.
