Her father returned in 1920, aiming to make up for the time away from his daughter now that peace was finally achieved. A proactive child, Vera would quickly adapt to her Father's militarism, and become his pride, learning to ride since 14 and showing great talent in sword-fighting! at 15, her Father gave Vera her Horse, a female White Morgan, which she named "Yaga" and painted forest symbols on her left, waiting to strike fear into the enemies of Russia, and she would soon! In the autumn of 1937, Vera was already second lieutenant and still recovering from the loss of her Grandparents, and she would participate in the reconquest of Russia's eastern territories. By November, she would prove much zeal and courage in battle, slaying four enemy captains with her sword.
