But remember, they're all anthropomorphic animals, so these changes will be coherent to their bodies] *** **HIERARCHY** [Alphas = Alpha's are the highest rank/type in the omegaverse. They are very protective of what's theirs and can be aggressive. Alphas have many things that differentiate them from the other types, ranging from physical characteristics, psychological attributes, and physiology. Among one of the common traits is the knot at the base of an alphas member. The knot is a bundle of muscles that expand when the alpha is close to climaxing and is pushed into the omega to lock themselves in to ensure the omega catches. Regarding Alpha females, they lack the penis that their counterparts have, so in place of the penis, there is a retractable member. Female alphas however cannot become pregnant and so the womb doesn't exist. Alpha usually have a strong musky scent and sometimes smell of different spices. This scent can induce heats in omegas or arouse them. They are always on top during reproduction. Alphas are 20% of the world's population, and they're mostly carnivores.] [Betas = Betas are basically your everyday human with some exceptions. One is that they have a very weak scent, they have one but their glands do not produce it as heavily as alphas or omegas. They cannot reproduce with omegas or become pregnant from alphas. Female Betas are the same as humans in our world, they have menstruations (that time of the month) and can become pregnant. Betas can have reproduction with Alphas but when the knot is shoved in they experience varying degrees of pain. Their scent is also calming to omegas and alphas. Betas often maintain the balance in the omegaverse, playing a crucial role. Betas commonly work jobs in hospitals, schools, and others. Betas are 70% of the world's population, they're mostly omnivores.] [Omegas = Omegas are the last on our list. Omegas go into heats, increasing their fertility or one of the times they can catch. Female omegas anatomy is the same and nothing unique or special is needed during the birthing process. Males on the other hand are a bit more complicated. Males lacking the reproductive organs females have is made up with the anal cavity serving as both used for natural processes like waste removal and as well as the uterus. When male omegas catch pups/offspring they usually have to have a C- section in order for them to be removed. However they can birth naturally. One key thing of Omegas is their heats, this is a time when their sexual arousal is through the roof and their scent glands are most potent. The reason being is so the omega in heat can attract a suitable mate to knot them. However omegas can function properly while in heat but they experience irritation, high sexual arousal, labored breathing, high body temperature, and secreaction of large amounts of slick. Due to being at the bottom of the hierarchy, Omegas are unfortunately prone to dealing with a lot of issues, most commonly from alphas. Omegas are 10% of the world's population, and they're mostly herbivores.] *** **TYPES OF ANTHROS** [Furries are anthropomorphic animals who developed themselves to become fully bipedal and their bodies resemble humanoids. This group is composed of anthropomorphic mammals that possess some kind of fur, wool, or hair on their bodies, like Dogs, Wolves, Cats, Bulls, Cows, Sheep, Lambs, Pigs, Goats, Horses, Mares, and other kinds of similar animals. Furries are the only anthropomorphic animals in this world capable of lactating. Furries are the most common being found in this world.] [Scalies are anthropomorphic animals who developed themselves to become fully bipedal and their bodies resemble humanoids. Oceanics live near bodies of water and are often found on beaches, lakes, or in the ocean.] *** **CONCEPTS** [Mew = Omegas, and many children in the omegaverse, have the ability to let out high-pitched "mew" like noise to signal either distress or fear. Although most babies and infants can produce this sound, it is either impossible or extremely difficult for betas and alphas to produce the sound after about age 3. Omegas seem to be the only subgender able to replicate a "mew" into adulthood with little to no difficulty, each mew varies accordingly to the anthros species.] [Courtship = To win an Omega, or any possible partner, a old-fashioned courtship is still the norm. This involves the potential mate taking the time to learn about and follow the interests and tastes of the desired Omega. Omegas may also take the lead in courtship.] [Nest = The nest is a physical and emotional refuge that Omegas instinctively build from infancy. It is a biological response to vulnerability and the need for security, especially during sensitive periods such as heat. Location and Materials: It can be created on beds, on the floor, in closets, or any place the Omega considers safe. Materials include soft clothing, blankets, pillows, and belongings that smell like mates or close family members. Function: The nest provides protection and comfort, relieves anxiety and the physical/emotional discomfort of heat, and can even be used to attract a desired mate. Sanctity: The nest is a sacred place. No one is allowed to touch or enter it without the express permission of the Omega, especially during heat, when dependence on the nest is greatest. Most alphas do not have the instinct to build nests.] [Pregnancy and Protection of the Litter During pregnancy = an Omega's behavior can range from needy to aggressive, especially toward its mate. However, a universal characteristic is extreme protectiveness of the litter in the first months after birth. Omegas prevent anyone from approaching their offspring, aiming to protect them from diseases and potential dangers.] [Knot = This is found in alphas and is the primary way To mate with omegas. The knot is essentially a bundle of muscles that expand/inflate when the alpha is about to climax. The size, form, and appearance of the knot varies accordingly to the anthros species. The knot also ties them and their mate for a short or long time until it goes down enough to be removed. Removal upon the knot already being tied to their partner is very painful.] [Omega Anatomy = The usual penis and testicules of the male, but this part cannot make a fellow omega or female mate catch as the semen is infertile or has very low fertility. However, located inside the rectum is a makeshift uterus that is made when the omega is active when the omega is in heat or opens during reproduction. Now to avoid complications with the rectums basic functions and the organ that shares it. A valve is located at the entrance of where the male omegas uterus is. This valve is open during sex and is closed when there isn't a need for it to be open. Male Omegas do have a penis.] [Scent glands = Scent glands are found in every person in the omegaverse. In alphas and omegas there are more of them in clusters and slightly bigger than betas. This is due to and in part that their scents usually are used to attract a compatible mate/partner. An A/B/O's scent is unique to that person alone and not one is similar in scent or taste (more on that further on). When alphas have ruts or an omega having a heat, these glands go into overdrive to produce a strong scent that can flood a room in a matter of moments.] [Slick Glands = Slick, as explained a while back, is a lubricant that omegas are capable of producing to make sex easier. These glands are found within the rectum and the uterus of omegas. These glands produce slick when an omega is in heat, allowing for sex to be easier and less painful. This also makes it so when the knot is pushed into the omega that there is little resistance and pain. Some writers like to include an additional detail to slick, such as taste. This can vary from being labeled as sweet or tasting like the omega's scent.] [Heat suppressants = Heat suppressants are usually pills that an omega can take to reduce the intensity of a heat or stop it entirely. However, they cannot be taken for an omegas first heat. This due to the first heat of an omega being crucial for development and also the drastic imbalance of chemicals inside their body. Taking a suppressant during this will only be small or not even work at all. Heat suppressants are usually ridiculously overpriced, at around 100 bucks for one.] [Rut suppressants = Similar to heat suppressors, this reduces the severity of an alphas rut. This pill makes the alpha less aggressive and also calms them. This medication is also a pill that is easy to take. Like the omegas first heat, an alpha first rut is not affected by the pill, oftentimes making the alpha more aggressive. So taking this medication during this time is a DO NOT for alphas.] [Scents = Scent plays a significant role in the Omegaverse, where alphas possess the ability to detect an omega in distress solely through the scent they emit. When omegas experience emotions like distress, anger, fear, or excitement, they release distinct scents that most alphas can effortlessly perceive. By interpreting these scents, alphas can adjust their behavior accordingly, although regrettably, some alphas may exploit these situations for their own benefit. It should be noted that individual responses to these scents can vary. Scent is primarily one of the ways alphas and betas can distinguish omegas.] [Pups = Babies are referred to as pups in the Omegaverse, they may be born in eggs in avians or oceanics, it always depend on the species.] [Alpha voice = Alphas possess what is commonly referred to as an "Alpha Voice" which is basically a very commanding tone that Omegas, and sometimes Betas, feel compelled to obey. Alphas also have a "Croon" which is like a deep rumbling sound that helps to calm or comfort their Omega or their pups.] [Purr = Omegas can let out a similar noise to a croon called a purr.
