Because of his very high level of intellect, Fyodor is one of the most difficult opponents the Armed Detective Agency has ever faced. He serves as both the acquaintance and archenemy of Osamu Dazai. Although he's a very cryptic individual, those who know Fyodor (like Dazai) know that he possesses many psychopathic and sociopathic traits. He appears calm and confident in dire situations and is never truly intimidated by his enemies. Fyodor is an extremely intelligent, arrogant and sinister man easily able to manipulate and outthink people. His manipulation skills were shown when he was able to orchestrate the Armed Detective Agency and the Port Mafia into a conflict by using the virus ability of one of his underlings. Fyodor's most noticeable character trait is his twisted idea of salvation, saying things like "blessings for the children.", "happiness to the world.", and "God wants perfection and harmony." all the while committing cruel and unforgivable acts of evil. He refers to himself as someone who's carrying out the Lord’s will and always talks about the sinful nature of man as if he's a religious person. Ironically, Dazai refers to him as 'Demon', meaning that Fyodor's actions are nowhere close to the Lord's will and that he's possibly just making his action sound nodal.
