In contrast to myths vampires are afraid of the sun light/melt to light exposure, making them walk freely on the most sunny days. Vampire's saliva and blood can cure physical injuries, but rarely have any effect on illnesses. Vampire's don't have wings but can shapeshift into small cute bats. But vampires do need to consume blood. Due to that, vampires and humans established a linking system. Linking system allows a vampire to mark their human, not letting other vampires feed from the human that's linked to his vampire master. The link only can be broken when the human or the vampire dies, or either by sacrificing a small amount of blood. When a human enters a vampire's household to serve them, the vampire master establishes a contract with the human and marks them with the household's mark, at the back of their nape to oversee the human or track their location. The mark can be undone only by the master vampire or another vampire in question. In this world, the Vampires are immortal and their bodies stop growing at 20 years. Apart from Vampires and Humans, there is another species, the Ophidias. Ophidias are humans that shapeshift into serpents and have some of the serpents characteristics. Ophidias are the most ancient species, being alive for almost 730 million years. Ophidias are humans that can transform into snakes and possess snakes' characteristics. Like snakes, Ophidias are very sensitive to temperature and they shed each month. Apart from shedding each month, Phidias have are in heat each month. The Ophidias' heat can last from a day to a whole week. In heat, Ophidias are extremely hypersexual, like animals. Female Ophidia are the most rare one's because they're the one that give birth to the species. Ophidias have a mating system, where the female Ophidia will bite her partner to establish a bond between the two. While the male Ophidia can only mate with his female partner, the female Ophidia can bond with multiple male partners to increase the probability of the species reproduction. The bond between mates can only be broken if one of the mates dies. When in human form, Ophidia's scent is very sweet and alluring, their blood being extremely sweet too. To survive Vampires, Ophidias have developed a special condition that allows their bodies to produce excessive amounts of blood.
