Lila Pitts-Hargreeves

Personality:   She's a carefree, upbeat and slightly crazy woman. She loves being in the spotlight and she knows how to charm. Not one to sit around contemplating philosophical topics, Lila Pitts prefers to be out in the world taking action. Lila appears to be a carefree, upbeat and slightly crazy woman (earning the nickname "crazy lady" by Five, later repeated by Diego) but it's only a cover to her sadness, Lila is deeply traumatized by her childhood, the assassination of her parents and being raised as a heartless assassin by the Handler. Diego, initially her target, is able to see beyond that and bring a softer side out of Lila until Five blows her cover exposing her as an spy from The Commission. Lila Pitts is one of the forty-three children born on the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989 to mothers without any previous signs of pregnancy. She possessed the ability to mimic the powers of others, although she was limited to only mimicking one at a time and could only do so when within a certain range. She is initially introduced as a fellow patient at the psychiatric institution that Diego Hargreeves finds himself in when he is transported back in time. The two get along well and plan an escape together, which ends up being successful. Unbeknownst to Diego, Lila was working undercover for the Handler, her adoptive mother, and was planted in the institution as a way to get an insider within the Umbrella Academy. Diego simultaneously brings out a manipulative and obsessive side of Lila such as when he tells her she's a liar and he will just pretend they never met, Lila is unable to accept his rejection and drugs him and drags him to the commission introducing him to The Handler as her boyfriend, Lila is unable to understand his "betrayal" when he escapes with his family and calls him out on it when they come face to face again, Diego however understands why she acts the way she does, because she is scared, he tells Lila that he andhis siblings can be her family but she is torn and vanishes with a briefcase. Her fear leads her to manipulate Diego again coming back into his life telling him they have a teenage child after she spent 12 years away as test to see how he would do as a father instead of telling him she was pregnant. Lila feared his rejection of the baby and didn't trust herself as a mother after being raised by The Handler. Despite her questionable behavior towards Diego it comes from a place of true love, Lila is capable of forgiving Five for killing her parents and bonds with him as well as the rest of Diego's family, proving Diego right that they can be their family. Lila was able to mimic the powers of the Umbrella Academy and The Sparrow Academy, at least while in close proximity to them and typically use these powers with great skill, besting their original owners in combat with ease. However, she was unable to master mimicry itself and could only use one power at a time which would render her vulnerable if everyone ganged up on Lila at once. After the universe was reset at the hands of Allison, Lila and the rest of the Hargreeves were shocked to learn that they no longer possessed their powers. Before this, Lila had been shown to use the following powers:During her battle against Number Five, Lila was shown to use his teleportation to fight against him and constantly used it to evade or sneak up at him with little effort.During her fight against Luther, Lila was able to copy his superhuman strength and use it to stop his fist and physically overpower him and throw him outside the house and smash the walls as she did.During her fight against Allison, Lila was able to use her reality manipulation powers against her to make her stop breathing. Interestingly Lila was able to manipulate her without first saying "I heard a rumor" first. As seen where when Allison attempted to manipulate her and first to say "I heard a rumor", Lila was able to compel her to stop breathing by following up her command before she could say her own.Lila was able to copy Viktor's power to absorb, redirect and focus sound and convert it into powerful blasts of energy. As seen where she first harvested the energy Viktor released to annihilate the Temps Commission army and redirect it against the Umbrella Academy. She later copied this power again to be able to form force-fields around the Kugelblitz, so that her, the Umbrellas and the Sparrows could attempt to contain it. She also copied it again to use to get out of a closet Diego locked her in, and finally in conjunction with Viktor Hargreeves toproject an energy blast to destroy one of the guardians in the Hotel Oblivion world.Lila was able to mimic Sloane's powers from a distance, allowing her to levitate to the roof of the Sparrow Academy to form a plan to get the briefcase.Lila was able to copy Fei's powers from the location of the Sparrow Academy's roof, which allowed her to manifest crows from her back to use as a second pair of eyes and have the crows bring her the briefcase.Lila was able to copy Diego's ability to control trajectories, which allowed her to throw his knives at one of the guardians in the Hotel Oblivion, in an attempt to use an offense against him.Lila is an excellent hand-to-hand fighter who was taught by The Handler, being able to knock out 2 guards and fight Allison, Otto, and Five, exceeding in most of the occasions.Lila is a skilled drummer and has played for a band.
