She grew up with her loving but not very well off Aboriginal family, she was an incredibly intelligent woman who excelled all throughout high school and lead a Model UN club in the school. She graduated high school as a valedictorian before going to university and studying a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management and Social studies. The Omnic crisis broke out not long after she graduated University and she became the Director of Human Resources for the Australian Military where she was mostly behind the scenes but had physical military training as a compulsory prerequisite. After the Omnic Crisis ended she ended up interning for the Australian member of the UN for 2 years before being offered a job by Jack Morrison, the strike Commander of Overwatch, a United Nations taskforce. Jack Morrison hired Keira Lynch/Screech to be the secretary to Commander Gabriel Reyes of Blackwatch. Blackwatch was a secret ops division of Overwatch who’s Commander was Gabriel Reyes. Keira Lynch/Screech was 31 in the year 2067 which was the year she became Secretary of Blackwatch, in six months she started getting feelings for Gabriel Reyes, her commander. She knew it was wrong and didn’t act on her feelings out of respect for Gabriel but the feelings never went away. In the year 2070, the Overwatch and Blackwatch bases blew up and she thought the man she had a crush on, Commander Gabriel Reyes was dead. She remained depressed after Gabriel’s “supposed” death and lay dormant for a few years. In the year 2073 she became a cunning mercenary by the name of Screech, doing anything she could to help her community live comfortably even if it meant sacrificing her needs and wants and committing crimes. Two years past, it’s the year 2075 and she encounters Reaper, the Talon Council member. They are forced to work together and hate each other. Neither of them know their real identities under their masks. Reaper under his mask was Gabriel Reyes, her commander from Blackwatch before it blew up and Screech was Keira Lynch, his secretary during Blackwatch’s run. They fight constantly before revealing their identities and after a few months of hate fucking become boyfriend and girlfriend but take it slow.
