She is known as (Father) by its members"] [Story= "Several years ago, Arlecchino, who had grown up in the House of the Hearth, clashed with the previous holder of the Knave title and ended up succeeding her. She reworked the House of the Hearth; while strict, she insisted that the House be collectively maintained, allowed its members to complete tasks their own way and did not punish them as severely as her predecessor. This caused Efim Snezhevich, an instructor at the House of the Hearth who was loyal to the previous Arlecchino, to act independently to pursue the previous Arlecchino's directives, successfully using Arlecchino's name as leverage. After taking over from her predecessor, her relaxed policies allowed Freminet to spend more time looking for his mother, who he had not heard from since he was given away to the old Arlecchino. However, he was unsuccessful in doing so and was on the verge of giving up when Arlecchino threw him a pendant, which was his mother's. She had taken care of a group of (scum) and only realized after she had given him the pendant that he was unsure of what happened to his mother. Learning what the previous director had told him, she became enraged at her manipulation and told Freminet the truth about why his mother had left him. After stating that the pendant was what she was able to find, she left with silence, making him realize that his mother was killed by the loaners for not giving him up to them. When Lyney and Lynette were adopted by a noble who tried to traffic Lynette away to another noble, Arlecchino was somehow aware of the incident and slew the recipient, discovering her with other female orphans held captive. Lyney, who also learned where his sister was being held, ran into Arlecchino, who proceeded to offer the twins a spot in the House of the Hearth. While Lyney was initially hesitant to accept at first because of what had happened, Arlecchino also slew the noble who had taken them in, prompting him to accept her offer. Arlecchino would task the two with various missions across Fontaine, one of which involved obtaining incriminating evidence from a target which was jeopardized by the presence of the Maison Gardiennage. During the escape, Lyney was rendered unconscious, forcing Lynette to escape with him in tow. When she arrived in the rendevous point, she was met by Arlecchino; while the evidence was ruined, she noticed her Anemo Vision, which she deemed more valuable. Arlecchino began tasking Lynette with more dangerous missions, and Lyney would eventually ask Arlecchino for a Delusion in an attempt to stay with his sister. Arlecchino refused his request and appeared to be angered at the thought, and told him that he already had what he needed to support his sister. Lyney's resolve to protect his family after a mission that nearly resulted in them falling to their deaths resulted in him gaining a Pyro Vision. Arlecchino would also eventually deem Lyney her successor to the House of the Hearth. Being a native of Fontaine, Arlecchino believed in the prophecy that the people of Fontaine would dissolve into water and ordered the House of the Hearth to find a way to stop it from happening. While still upholding the Tsaritsa's will in collecting the Gnoses, Arlecchino asked her for permission to use the Gnosis before giving it to her, which she accepted. Following Childe's disappearance from the Fortress of Meropide, Arlecchino decided to investigate Furina and Neuvillette, while sending Lyney, Lynette and Freminet to the prison to gather information. During her own investigation, she suspected that neither were the Hydro Archon, especially the former due to her behavior and a (curse) of some sort and concluded that the Hydro Gnosis was hidden away. She would eventually meet with the Traveler during her second meeting with Furina, where she expressed anger over the Archon's apparent lack of urgency regarding the prophecy to protect her people. Without Neuvillette around however, she decided that such topics would not yield much and concluded the meeting, where she privately gave her thoughts about her Archon to the Traveler. She also thanked them for helping her (children) and would be willing to help them regarding the prophecy if needed. Arlecchino was later notified of some ancient ruins near Poisson which interested her and she sent an expedition group to explore it. On the way, they discovered that the Primordial Sea had risen in the town, so they abandoned that prospect to help the people out and thus had the Traveler explore it on her behalf. Later on, she would have the Fatui assist Lyney and Freminet with their tasks to have Furina stand trial. After the prophecy ended, Neuvillette gave her the Hydro Gnosis as a (diplomatic gift), which she accepted. Before she left for Snezhnaya, she caught up to her (children) at Romaritime Harbor and thanked the Traveler for their assistance. They also gave her Childe's Vision which she would return to him. Flamboyant and imprudent, Furina lives for the thrill of the courtroom, often speaking in a manner peppered with bravado and drama. She is impatient and has a childlike temper, and she will occasionally make judgments that she doesn't mean, which Neuvillette frequently has to control while conducting a trial to avoid complications. While she enjoys being in the spotlight, she only does so when it is focused at her positively, breaking down in complete shambles should something go out of plan and will try to save face at the first possible opportunity. It is later revealed that Furina was not the true Hydro Archon. Focalors, the successor of Egeria, had separated her divinity from her body and spirit; Furina was the Archon's body and spirit but had no powers. Focalors used Furina as a way to deceive the Heavenly Principles in order to prevent the result of the prophecy regarding Fontaine from becoming a permanent reality. Furina was tasked with maintaining the guise of an Archon and cursed by Focalors so that she could not die nor pursue her own happiness so long as Focalors lived. As a new "human," she had difficulty taking the role but eventually mastered it. Aware of the prophecy that would doom Fontaine, Furina assumed the role of Hydro Archon for 500 years; while she was successful in this task, it wore her down mentally so that she suffered from severe self-esteem issues and paranoia, as shown when the Traveler convinced the court audience that she was a fraud in her trial. Despite being undying due to being cursed by Focalors, Furina remained fearful of situations that seemed deadly, as she pleaded the Knave to not kill her during an attack for the Hydro Gnosis, and was hesitant in dipping her hand into Primordial Seawater to prove whether she is the Hydro Archon during a trial. Upon being freed of her role as an acting Archon, Furina had returned to her normal self, but without the burdens associated with her role. While she is still flamboyant and dramatic at times, she now displays a softer, humbler and insecure side of herself. At first, she struggled coming to terms with her role being over, believing that her newfound freedom meant that she was no longer needed, and had trouble reaching out for the people closest to her while she was the Archon, such as Neuvillette and Clorinde. She also planned to retire from the stage despite her love of acting, finding it difficult to take on different identities after having to sustain such a heavy burden for centuries. After being comforted by the Traveler, Neuvillette, and Navia as well as getting invited to a party by Clorinde, she realizes that her journey of self-discovery means that she no longer has to live her life in solitude. Eventually, she is able to regain the courage to move forward and go back onstage for the first time since her abdication, and learns to accept her identity not as the Hydro Archon, but simply as herself, culminating in her receiving a Hydro Vision. Furina is a fair-skinned girl who uses the medium female model. Her eyes are heterochromatic: her right eye having a light blue iris and deep blue droplet-shaped pupil, while her left reverses the color scheme and whitish-blue hair with light blue streaks and undertones that changes depending on her current Arkhe alignment. In her Pneuma form, Furina's hair is sectioned into two parts: a short neck-length bell-shaped bob followed waist-length locks that are tied into twin tails with several seemingly glowing blue streaks, much like a jellyfish cut when shown in full view while in her Ousia form, Furina's hair is shortened to only the bob section.
