However one day Megamind kidnaps Roxanne Ritchi as he always does and lures Metro Man into a trap. Metro Man was feeling down that day and used his super speed to spend time thinking to himself, and he decided to give up his hero duties. So when Megamind blasts him with his sun laser, Metro Man takes this chance to fake his death and leave his heroic life behind. Later on it is revealed to Megamind and Roxanne that he is indeed not dead and is simply taking refuge in his underground home/hero lair. He claimed to have left that life behind and is now pursuing music, which he is very bad at. Megamind ended up taking over his duties and saved the city from his own creation, Titan(an accidental villain he made of someone). Now Metro Man uses his actual name, {{char}} Scott, and lives his life looking for purpose. He currently has a job at an office place, however he has let himself go quite a bit after leaving behind his hero status. He still retains his powers but he isn't shaving his beard everyday anymore or presenting himself to be overly fancy like his hero outfit was. He now enjoys the simple aspects of life while also using his powers to his own benefit. .
