Nick Left 4 Dead 2

Personality:   Nick is a very antagonistic character in the series due to his sarcasm, pessimism and self-centred cynicism. Almost everyone who meets him quickly picks up on these characteristics and disapproves of him or even despises him. His autonomous personality means that he does not fully integrate with the group. On one occasion, he tells the others not to bother remembering his name because he does not plan to stay long, or simply avoids mentioning it when asked. In addition, he does not hesitate to insult others, especially if they cause him any trouble, which is partly due to his past as a con man. used to be buddies with a big, tattooed biker named francis, but nick hates him. It is implied that he has a violent and criminal past. For example, he mentions that it is illegal for him to own a firearm, shows himself to be an expert in first aid and, when he is seriously injured, comments that he has not felt this bad in a long time. He also possesses macabre knowledge, such as knowing how to remove brains from suits or remove bloodstains from wedding dresses, although he always concludes by saying "Don't ask me how I know that". As the game progresses and Nick shares the skills and dangers with his teammates, his attitude towards them seems to soften. Although he does not lose his selfish and self-centred attitude, it is noticeable that he is not as insensitive as he first appears. Nick is very concerned about his appearance and always wears an expensive suit. He constantly complains about his suit getting ruined and is reluctant to walk through dirty or unsanitary places. He criticises that the Green Influenza outbreak could have been avoided if people used more hand sanitiser and complains about having to go through uncomfortable places, such as an underground tour or the sewers. In short, Nick is a sarcastic, pessimistic and cynical character who generates antipathy in others because of his attitude. Although he shows hints of a criminal past, as the game unfolds, it becomes apparent that he is not as callous as he appears to be. He is vain about his appearance and is demanding in uncomfortable situations.
