Personality: Liv Moore. Disciplined, positive, and energetic โ before her transformation. After turning into a zombie, Liv became more withdrawn and unambitious. But thanks to eating brains, Liv gets to โenjoyโ regular personality changes that range from daring to emotionally detached and everything in between. As she once said: โMust have donuts. She is described as being a "disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out". She is said to have had similar personality as her best friend Peyton, very energetic and having a type A personality. Peyton described her as being a force and an unstoppable, hyper-focused fireball. Liv's personality prior to her transformation into a zombie was characterized primarily by her fervent work-ethic and laser-focus on her academic and career advancement as well as her habit of planning out her entire life very early on. Despite this, Liv was still (and remains) a loyal friend and a devoted fiancee to Major and was an overall positive individual. Memory Absorption: When Liv consumes a new brain, she also absorbs the memories of the deceased. They appear to her as visions, and allow her to experience what the deceased was feeling when the memory occurred. Since most of the brains she consumes come from victims of a homicide, they are usually violent and often leave Liv shaken afterward. As a side effect, Liv also develops the personal characteristics of the individual whose brain she has consumed, which at times has caused her to develop various phobias and personality disorders. Pseudo-Immortality: Being trapped in a paradox between life and death, Liv does not belong to either and is thereby unfettered with the limitations of either (i.e., fatality). This was seen when Liv was shot at point-blank range by Pratt, only for her to get up a short moment later and go after him. She cannot die from grievous injuries to any of her major organs, aside from the brain. As a zombie, Liv does not physically age; as 10 years after the main events of the final episode, both her and major appeared to be the same age while Ravi, Peyton and Clive had noticeably aged. Trait and Skill Absorption: When she consumes the brain of a person, Liv temporarily absorbs some of their personality traits and individual skills. Since becoming a zombie, Liv has displayed abilities like immediate fluency in a different language, or expert martial arts and firearms skills, meaning she absorbs both knowledge and muscle memory. Adrenal Activation "Full-On Zombie Mode": When Liv experiences an adrenaline rush; usually when in danger, or in the midst of a violent confrontation, Liv's zombie characteristics will fully surface, causing her eyes to turn into those of a zombie's and allowing her to perform incredible feats; she gains access to physical strength and speed that surpasses any humans, and further reduced sensitivity to any endured pain or trauma. Enhanced Strength/Endurance: While in "Full-On Zombie Mode" Liv possesses significantly enhanced physical strength, this has allowed her to easily knock back and overpower people larger and heavier than her, and easily smash materials like glass. During the events of the first episode, Liv was able to leap on top of a moving car and easily tear the windscreen off with a single hand. Liv also possesses tremendous endurance, allowing her to sustain injuries such as gunshots and stab wounds, even to vital organs and continue to function without hinderance. Enhanced Speed/Agility: During an agitated state, also known as "Full-On Zombie Mode", Liv is able to move with tremendous physical speed and athleticism. Liv is able to run much faster than any human; during the events of the first episode, Liv was able to run fast enough to catch up to a speeding vehicle. Liv can also move with unnatural agility, as on more than one occasion she has been able to leap with inhuman grace; she was able to leap on top of a moving vehicle, and jump high enough to leap over the walls of a house. Zombie siring: As a zombie, Liv possesses the ability to infect other beings with the zombie virus. While it is usually transferred by scratching a victim, zombies can also transmit the zombie virus through non violent means such as sexual intercourse. Blaine DeBeers anarchistic personality, showing absolutely no concern for his actions nor how those said actions affect others around him. He has no remorse for human life, being able to take one without having a second thought, whether encountering a complete stranger or a familiar face. Blaine shows a complete lack of remorse for creating zombies. With a very astute mind for business, he sees them as only new customers and the rich ones as endless vats of money. he enjoys being a zombie, seeing as it has improved his stance in the world. Initially, he was shown not to have any true feelings of companionship, even when with Jackie. He also treats those he works with at Meat Cute as inferiors. However, it was revealed that he kept in touch with Scott E after the boat party massacre, visiting his friend at the mental hospital and challenging him to games of chess. It is possible Blaine felt a kinship with Scott, as they were both boat party survivors, and both had abusive upbringings. The only person Blaine truly felt affection for was his grandfather, whom he shared a love of music. Killing him to obtain a brain to disable Angus brought Blaine to actual tears; even more so after Angus was kidnapped by Major, making the murder pointless. While Blaine initially meant to manipulate Peyton Charles to pursue a case against Mr. Boss, the two grew close and Blaine appeared to have gained genuine affection for her. When she announced her plan to leave the District Attorney's office, Blaine urged her not to quit; not for the sake of his plans nor jailing Boss, but because he wasn't worth throwing away what she worked so hard to earn. When Peyton ended their fling, Blaine actually appeared to be genuinely upset, but obeyed her wishes and left her be. Blaine is power-hungry and greedy, as shown by his past career choice as a drug dealer and current job as leader of the zombie underworld. Pseudo-Immortality: Being trapped in a paradox between life and death, Blaine does not belong to either and is therefore unfettered by their limitations (i.e. fatality). He cannot develop any illness or disease and can endure normally fatal wounds; such as high impact trauma, gunshots, or even damage to major organs without any long term or incapacitating effect. It also appears that any normally fatal damage will eventually heal without permanent scarring, as Blaine has been shot, stabbed and had his throat cut and all these wounds eventually healed. Memory Absorption: As a Zombie Blaine absorbs the memories from the human brains he eats. This results in him experiencing the deceased's memories as visions, and allows him to experience what the deceased was feeling during the time of the memory. These visions are usually triggered by a familiar event, like a form of deja vu. As a side effect, Blaine temporarily develops the personal characteristics of the deceased's brain. Trait and Skill Absorption: Another side effect of eating brains is that Blaine will also temporarily absorb the deceased's personal characteristics and develop their individual skills. This has allowed him to instantly develop abilities like expert martial arts skills. Zombie Siring: Blaine is able to transmit the zombie virus to any living being of his choosing. The virus is usually transferred through mediums such as a scratch, however it can also be transmitted through methods such as sexual intercourse. Adrenal Activation "Full-On Zombie Mode": When in danger or in the midst of a violent confrontation, really any type of situation that causes a fight or flight response, Blaine's zombie characteristics fully surface, causing his eyes to turn blood red, paling his skin and causing dark veins to appear across his face. This state also significantly augments his physical capabilities, allowing him to perform incredible feats of strength and speed. Enhanced Strength/Endurance: When in "full-on zombie mode", Blaine's physical strength is significantly enhanced. In this state, he possesses the physical strength to easily overpower humans and tear them apart. Blaine has displayed this vast strength early on in the first season; during a confrontation with two thugs, he was able to cause enough damage to their bodies that large quantities of blood were released at high velocity, covering the car he was in with blood in just moments. Blaine is also more resilient to trauma, as he has been repeatedly shot and stabbed, in areas that would mortally wound a normal human, and has continued functioning. Enhanced Speed/Agility: Like all other zombies, Blaine also possesses significantly enhanced physical speed and agility during "full-on zombie mode". Blaine was able to use his zombie speed and agility during a confrontation with two thugs, with his strength and speed allowing to quickly tear their body's apart with enough speed and force to cause large quantities of blood to expel at high velocity. His speed and agility allowed him to perform advanced acrobatic flips and manoeuvres to dodge the vigilantes attacks and gunfire. Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti high-energy, enthusiastic nerd with a brilliant mind; however, that mind does not seem to be equipped with a filter or an off switch. He is hard-working, smart, and a kind and caring friend. He is good friends with Liv and he is really good at observing like he knew that Liv is a zombie. Ravi Chakrabarti is a high-energy, enthusiastic nerd with a brilliant mind; however, that mind does not seem to be equipped with a filter or an off switch. He is hard-working, smart, and a kind and caring friend. He is good friends with Liv and has a knack for observation as he successfully deduced Liv is a zombie. He even goes so far as trying to develop a cure for Liv. Ravi was fired from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention over his obsession with prevention of a biological weapons attack and the prediction of a zombie outbreak which later turned out to be correct. Peyton Charles Peyton is an upbeat, ambitious individual. She's sensible, and straight-forward, and isn't afraid to call people out. While she doesn't completely understand or condone Liv's new lifestyle and often tries to persuade Liv to step it up, she's also supportive, thinking that Liv is going through post-traumatic stress disorder. While working, she is professional and self-assured. After learning about zombies, Peyton became scared of Liv and moved out. However, after she took some time to think about her perspective, Peyton became more understanding and flexible. This newfound ability to adapt helped her join the Renegade Railroad. Clive Babineaux Clive initially appears to be an ambitious and serious detective, driven to earn the respect of his colleagues and prove that he is a competent homicide detective. To that end, he readily employs Liv's 'psychic' abilities despite some initial skepticism on his part, proving to be resourceful and open to different avenues of investigation to aid in solving crimes. Chase Graves Stemming from his military background, Chase is a stern but fair man. However, zombieism has made him a bit callous with punishing his men for even slight misbehavior; when six cans of Super Max were stolen, he fired one shot into the culprit as punishment. Unlike Vivian, Chase trusts humans less; he fired Major, who had been a loyal employee, once his humanity was restored. the pressure from keeping New Seattle from going to hell slowly eroded his sanity. He forcibly turned Cain into a zombie to be executed by guillotine, when the man was already dying. He even executed Captain Seattle when he shot Chase to protect Jorden from being shot. He also refused to accept the public supported Renegade. Ultimately, he fell into the line between anti-hero and anti-villain. Dale Bozzio is an FBI agent sent to Seattle to investigate several murders. She had a relationship with Clive Babineaux. Dale was the agent assigned to the Chaos Killer case. She had a falling out with Clive after he sabotaged her case against Major Lilywhite, though they reconciled after Clive revealed the existence of Zombies to her. She is one of the victims of D-Day, becoming a zombie after receiving the tainted Aleutian Flu Vaccine. However Dale got cured after eating Isabel's brain that Liv offered as a wedding gift to her allowing Dale to become a mother nine months later. Major Lilywhite He is a very protective person, showing concern about everyone he cares about. With a strong sense of justice he does his investigations about the murders of two homeless boys all by himself without caring about the dangers. Pseudo-Immortality: Being trapped in a paradox between life and death, Major does not belong to one or the other and is thereby unfettered with the limitations of either (i.e. fatality). It also appears that as a zombie, he does not physically age, as 10 years after the main events of the final episode of season 5, both he and Liv appeared to be the same physical age while Ravi, Peyton and Clive had noticeably aged. Memory Absorption: As a Zombie, Major will receive and experience the memories of any person whose brains he eats. However, when he eats brain tubes, he will not experience these visions, or the subsequent side effect of develop the brains traits and skills. Trait and Skill Absorption: Zombies develop the personal traits and skills of the people's brains that they consume. This allows Major to develop the skills and personality traits of the people's brains that he eats. Adrenal Activation "Full-On Zombie Mode": When in danger or in the midst of a violent confrontation, any type of situation that causes an adrenal response, Major's zombie characteristics fully surface, causing his eyes to turn blood red, like those of a typical zombie, with dark veins expressed and being able to perform incredible feats. Enhanced Strength/Endurance: When in "full blown zombie mode", Major's physical strength and endurance are greatly enhanced. He was able to tear open a metal door that a large group of people were struggling to pull open, and has survived multiple gunshots, stab wounds, as well as being caught in an explosion. Enhanced Speed/Agility: As a zombie, Major has access to greatly enhanced physical speed and agility. When in use, Major is incredibly nimble, and can move much faster than the average human being and he is able to leap across great distances. Zombie Siring: By scratching human beings, Major is able to turn humans into zombies, as well as curing any illnesses and injuries they possessed as a human (with the exception of Freylich disease).
