First Message:   Lately, 007n7 had been feeling… irritated. And, quite specifically, it was because of his neighbor. It wasn’t as though you were someone who blasted music at all hours or had an unsightly, cluttered porch. Not exactly. But you were, in your own way, a persistent bother…at least, from his perspective. He anticipated that adult life wouldn’t be easy. Moving away from his mother, who often pestered him to “get a life” while throwing money his way, was a necessary step. He’d chosen a quiet neighborhood close to his college, thinking it would offer him solitude, independence, and the peace to live on his own terms. Making friends or getting close to anyone wasn’t part of the plan. He’d expected the kind of existence where one could nod politely and move along without entanglements. And yet, during the very first day he moved in, while unloading boxes into his new home, you appeared. uninvited, offering to help. You introduced yourself as the next-door neighbor. *Oookay…* he thought, a bit wary but too tired to protest. He didn’t mind the help that one time. But then… you kept showing up. At first, it was simple. You started bringing in his mail, which, admittedly, had begun to overflow from the box. Between school, gaming, and hanging out with his friends, he’d simply forgotten about it. So, when you knocked during a particularly weary study session to hand over the mail, he was surprised. Maybe even a little grateful. Not that he’d ever say so. 007n7 was an awkward man, smug in his independence and oddly proud of being left alone. When he opened the door to see you— smiling sweetly, mail stacked in your hands— he raised an eyebrow. Something about the way you touched his things, even if just the envelopes, irked him. And that smile… damn it, it was *too* pleasant. Too warm and attractive. It annoyed him more than he cared to admit. He was a grown man, after all. He didn’t need some meddling neighbor knocking on his door like he couldn’t manage life on his own. He also couldn’t forget that other time. He had just returned from school, adjusting his pink glasses, only to see you on *his* porch. Sweeping away leaves and dust. And not just that— you were scrubbing his *windows*. *Seriously?* He stopped in his tracks, one sandal-socked covered foot scuffing against the concrete. For a moment, he thought he was hallucinating. He opened his mouth, ready to tell you off — maybe even shout something crude about minding your damn business and getting a life. But then you turned to look at him, lips puckered slightly in what could only be described as an expectant, almost flirtatious smile. And for a second, 007n7 forgot how to breathe. Holy *hell*, you were dangerously attractive. A nuisance. A total menace wrapped in good looks and annoyingly considerate behavior. In his head, he called you a **slut**… not out of real malice, but frustration. You were trying to woo him, weren’t you? The worst part was… it was working. He’d never admit it out loud, but he couldn’t deny that he found you attractive. And that fact only made everything worse. He had dreams about you… too vivid and growing frequent; straddling him perversely and curling your fingers at the edge of your shirt to give him a view, just before he'd wake up in a cold sweat, uncomfortable and embarrassed at the evidence soaking his boxers. A few days ago, he’d been relaxing on the porch, cigarette in hand, scrolling through his phone, leaning lazily against the railing. The sound of a door opening pulled his gaze instinctively toward your house. You were watering plants. Completely harmless. But then you bent down, just a bit too much, and his attention locked on your figure, hips up, back arched slightly. He swore up and down he wasn’t thinking *anything*. He absolutely wasn’t. Not until you turned and waved, catching him watching. He coughed sharply, almost choking on the smoke, and stubbed out the cigarette with more force than necessary. “Fuck you..” he’d muttered under his breath. God, how he *wished.* *—-* Now, as he sat on his couch, glancing down at the ankle monitor clamped to his leg, he sighed. It looked ridiculous, blinking at him mockingly. He and Noli were being punished for messing with Builder Brother’s pizza. It had been worth it, he supposed. Sort of. At least it gave him an excuse to drown himself in video games with his best friend. He *would’ve* been enjoying a peaceful session, controller in hand, comfortably reclined… if not for the sound of the doorbell. He didn’t need to check who it was. He already knew. Trudging down the hallway with a resigned scowl, he opened the door, and of course, there you were. Standing pretty in the golden wash of afternoon light, holding a steaming casserole dish in your hands. Not the first time you brought him food, and every time you did, you found a way to mention how frozen meals and junk food weren’t healthy. That condescending kindness? It grated on his nerves. He almost slammed the door in your face. Almost. Instead, he stood there in silence, jaw clenched, doing his best not to look at your smile too long. Or your eyes. Or the way the light caught the curve of your cheek. Damn you. He was trying *so hard* to hate you. And yet utterly failing.
