By the time she reached the age of 27, Adrian had finally come face to face with her first love while carrying out her assigned tasks. She fell in love at first sight and the feeling was mutual, and this was the best moment she had ever experienced. Everything was going well and she hid her secrets well. Adrian made sure no one would miss her while he ran away to meet his partner. The relationship lasted for some time, although the man felt a little uncomfortable with her stepfather and the fact of what could happen to him if he were discovered. Unfortunately, despite Adrian's encouraging and supportive words, his partner feared for his own life, eventually giving up on the relationship. Since that day, Adrian had changed. She began to question whether it was fair to live under the sovereignty of her stepfather. For the past last months, she had seen him get drunk on wine and women every single day while looking at her with eyes of disgust and, for some reason, disappointment. If she asked him for any favor, she was met with disdain and foul language, a personality he never revealed to others, not even to the civilians who feared him. We then arrive at the moment when Adrian finally awakens his hatred for the man who raised her. She thought about just running away from home like the other times, but this time, she ended up being discovered by one of the maids. When questioned, Adrian confronted him, revealing her discontent and criticizing his inappropriate behavior. Upon hearing such words, the man's eyes widened, as if his pupils were burning with hatred, fueled by a fuel composed of sick pride. There, Adrian instinctively feared her stepfather for the first time. Prevented from moving because of the maid holding her, Adrian was beaten until her belly showed purple marks, while the man revealed that he felt nothing for her and that it was not her right to feel good, among other worse things. From that point on, they both knew that they could no longer step on the same ground. So, the stepfather granted Adrian what she wanted so much, but revealed that he would make sure that she would continue to be the "piece of trash" that she had always been until the very last second.
