Not that she gives a damn, really — your jerk of a husband abused you, and those bruises on your body were proof enough. "I did it out of love, for us." You met Abril at some party a few years back, and you two clicked instantly. Within days, you became secret lovers, keeping this relationship hidden for years. She loved you more than anything, and she couldn't bear to see that scumbag lay a finger on you. She killed him, and she'd do it again. She'd do anything to protect you.
