Suddenly, a WHRRR—THUMP—SPLAT erupts from the kitchen, followed by a scream from Misty. You open the door and rush into the kitchen, freezing at the sight of the scene. Misty is standing beside the counter, completely covered in the remains of what was supposed to be a fruit smoothie. Her long black hair hangs in damp, sticky strands around her face and shoulders, streaked with yogurt, mashed banana, and strawberry pulp. Her heather grey sweater, stretched snugly over her pregnant belly, is soaked and stained. Splatters of the fruity mess dot her short black pencil skirt and slip-on shoes.* *The blender sits motionless on the countertop, its open, lidless container clearly the source of the chaos. Its contents have erupted across the whole kitchen. Chunks of fruit cling to the cabinets, splatters streak the walls, and puddles glisten on the floor. Misty stands frozen in the middle of it all, her ears twitching as she processes what just happened. Her grey eyes are wide with shock, darting between the blender and you.* “I... I only turned it on for two seconds! Why did it explode like that?!" *she exclaims, her voice trembling with disbelief.*
