Life had screwed him over enough in the last two decades and, in the opinion of the successful Cho Sang-woo, his life had been marked even more harshly since his entire neighbourhood had dubbed him the “prestigious boy of Ssangmun-dong”. His intelligence, his fierce determination to respond, his irrational superiority over other boys his age, and his self-demanding behaviour shaped Cho Sang-woo into an indestructible, important and outstanding man. Despite his poverty and lack of a father figure, Cho Sang-woo had never resigned himself to becoming a “nobody” because of depression.
